Abstract:
A modular mobile phone includes a printhead and ink supply module that is received and retained into a support chassis. A battery module cradles the printhead and ink supply module from a rear side of the mobile phone. An external casing locates on a front side of the mobile phone and is configured to mate with the support chassis. In an assembled configuration print media entry and exit slots are provided between a portion of the external casing and a portion of the support chassis. The print media entry and exit slots communicate with an internal transport assembly of the printhead and ink supply module.
Abstract:
A document feeding apparatus includes a chassis having a plurality of side surfaces and a substantially level upper surface. A feed mechanism is mounted in the chassis. A document entrance passageway is defined by the chassis and substantially enclosed by the chassis, the document entrance passageway positioned adjacent the feed mechanism and including a document entrance on one of the plurality of side surfaces. A document exit passageway is defined by the chassis and substantially enclosed by the chassis, the document exit passageway positioned adjacent the feed mechanism and including a document exit on one of the plurality of side surfaces.
Abstract:
A print media and ink supply cartridge includes a base molding and a cover molding between which there is located a deformable film. Ink is stored in a deformable volume between the deformable film and the cover molding. A number of ink outlet nozzles, which communicate with the deformable volume are formed into the cover molding whereas air inlets are formed into the base molding. Pierceable seals cover the ink nozzles and are pierced upon coupling of the cartridge to a printer. The cartridge is arranged so that the nozzles are located clear of the cartridge's print media housing in order that the nozzles are readily accessible to the printer.
Abstract:
This communicator makes it possible for the user to do telephone, facsimile, and data communication at any location. On a pen input device, a space eye 2, a telephone control system, a facsimile control system, and a data transmission system are mounted. All of them are operated by an input pen 55 or the space eye 2. The pen input device is connected to a wireless telephone equipment 7, and can be connected to a desired party through the public communication channel. In order to make the most of the equipment of a GPS user, the GPS user device 8 is connected to the pen input device 3. The current location of the GPS user is found through the GPS user device 8, and the data on the current location is transmitted to the party. Further, to make this communicator usable in any country, it is provided with means to connect it to a wireless telephone network of an individual service area of the country.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a digital photo album having a hard drive and built-in scanner configured to scan photographic prints. The digital photo album allows a user to save the photographic prints as digital images on the hard drive, or another medium, and then view individual images or play photo album slideshows comprising a plurality of digital images. Additionally, a user may upload digital images from an external medium to the hard drive of the photo album, and then view those images and/or include them in a playlist. The digital photo album of the present invention advantageously allows a user to scan photographic prints, upload or download digital images, and view digital images individually or in an album format, in a substantially automated manner and without the need for complex peripheral devices.
Abstract:
There is provided a video game console device including means to receive detachable interactive program storage means for execution by the console, processing and operating means for executing the interactive program stored on the detachable interactive program storage means for delivery to a video output, communication means to enable operational interaction input from external control devices during execution of the program, an integral printer apparatus including a printhead, ink supply unit, an internal print media supply unit, and print media feed means, the printer apparatus being operatively associated with the processing and operating means to print out images relevant to the interactive program. In the preferred form, the console is designed for use with a detachable controller module that includes a variety of interactive control devices such as joysticks and control buttons.
Abstract:
An electronic camera utilizing a reflective flat panel display for printing and/or viewing images in disclosed herein. One such electronic camera comprises the following components: (a) an electronic image acquisition assembly for capturing an image and converting it into digital information; (b) a reflective liquid crystal microdisplay for producing a reflection image in response to said digital information; and (c) an optical system for directing the reflection image produced by the reflective liquid crystal microdisplay toward, and thereby imagewise exposing, photosensitive imaging film loaded in the camera. An advantage of employing a reflective flat panel display for exposing film in such an electronic camera is that the reflective flat panel display can be used also as a means for viewing or previewing digitally captured images.
Abstract:
A cartridge for use with a digital printing device includes a casing that incorporates an ink storage portion and a print media storage portion. The ink storage portion includes at least one ink chamber in which ink of a particular color is stored and that defines a print media exit opening so that the print media can be fed from the casing. A nozzle arrangement is connected to the ink storage portion so that ink can be fed from the, or each, ink chamber. A collapsible structure is received in the, or each respective, ink chamber, and is configured to encapsulate the ink and to collapse as said ink is fed from the ink chamber.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cartridge for use with a digital printing device. The cartridge includes a first casing portion for housing print media and a second casing portion for housing a supply of ink. The ink supply is formed by having the second casing portion segregated into distinct chambers for storing a supply of different colored inks, with each ink storage chamber having a corresponding ink outlet closed with a pierceable seal and is defined at least in part by a collapsible membrane.
