摘要： A rigid leaflet blood check valve uses a torsion wire suspension to suspend the leaflet. The leaflet is non-contacting with the housing. Complete washout of all valve parts in blood contact exists. This eliminates areas of blood stasis which exist in valves employing conventional pivot bearings. Relative motion, wear, and washout problems have been eliminated in the valve.

摘要： A pressure regulator for a drinking system for birds or other animals that includes a housing and first and second engaging members for engaging the elongated supports for the fluid supply conduit of the drinking system. The first engaging member includes a pair of ends, each end including a plurality of flexible fingers extending generally parallel to the fluid supply conduit. The second engaging members are adapted to engage the flanges of the elongated supports. The pressure regulator includes a valve element and the housing desirably defines a valve bore for receiving the valve element. The valve element desirably includes a circular seal having a peripheral edge that extends radially inwardly and that includes a lip for sealing the valve bore when the valve element is in the closed position. Desirably, the housing includes a central portion that defines a central channel having a larger diameter than a fluid inlet channel defined by the housing, and an air exhaust port associated with the central portion for exhausting air trapped within the central portion. The housing also desirably is configured to facilitate quick and easy removal and replacement of the seal. The pressure regulator may be used in connection with poultry houses having sloped floors.

摘要： A sterilization apparatus has a chamber within a housing in which the materials to be sterilized are placed and the chamber is supplied with liquid under pressure. A pressure sensitive, rapid acting implosion cartridge is in communication with the chamber and acts to depressurize the chamber in milliseconds when the desired sterilization pressure is reached. The cartridge then reseals the chamber for a subsequent pressure build-up.

摘要： A fluid level control valve has a base with an aperture formed therein. A cover is slidingly disposed over the aperture and is biased by a thermostatic element in a direction tending to close the aperture. The thermostatic element is an elongated strip having one end captured by tabs projecting from the base, and an opposite end is captured by a bracket formed on the base. The thermostatic element is formed with a V-shaped force imparting portion which is aligned with the cover and the position of the bracket is adjustable to place a selected force on the cover through the thermostatic element. The calibrated valve is then fixedly attached to a housing with the aperture aligned with an aperture in the housing.

摘要： A check valve comprises a housing having a ball normally disposed on a seat defined therein to prevent communication of fluid from an inlet to an outlet thereof. A torsion spring is mounted on the housing to have an end thereof engage the ball to hold it in its normally closed position and to permit opening thereof to communicate the inlet with the outlet when the level of fluid pressure in the inlet exceeds a predetermined level. In the preferred embodiment, the torsion spring is mounted on a rotary member rotatably mounted in the housing to selectively adjust the closing force applied to the ball to vary the pressure setting thereof. During assembly of the valve, a pin is secured to the housing in blocking relationship across an outlet passage to limit pivotal movement of the end of the spring and to prevent the ball from rolling therepast.

摘要： A check valve for a fluid line which can be easily disassembled and assembled for cleaning, inspection, or repair. The valve finds particular utility in cleaning-in-place equipment such as dairy pipe lines and in which the valves and other components must be quickly, easily, and completely disassembled for thorough cleaning at frequent invervals. The valve includes identical end sections which are formed of resilient material such as plastic or the like and which can be snapped on a central valve element guide and also easily disassembled therefrom. A shiftable valve element is located on the central valve guide and can also be easily disassembled therefrom for frequent and thorough cleaning. The width of the central guide is such that the valve element which is also of resilient material, is properly tensioned to insure its accurate location.

摘要： A dual stage seat valve head arrangement is provided consisting of a primary sealing point located between a fixed orifice seat and a valve poppet, and a secondary sealing point between an orifice poppet and a valve poppet. Upstream of the valve orifice is a flexible, convoluted metal diaphragm attached to the orifice poppet. Downstream of the valve orifice, a finger spring exerts a force against the valve poppet, tending to keep the valve in a closed position. The series arrangement of a double seat and poppet is able to tolerate small particle contamination while minimizing chatter by controlling throttling or metering across the secondary seat, thus preserving the primary sealing surface.
