    摘要: The present disclosure envisages a housing (1000). The housing (1000) has an operative upper compartment (200) and an operative lower compartment (100). A first lid (110) and a second lid (210) cover the lower and the upper compartments (100, 200) respectively. The lid (210) is openable. A panel (400) is configured to be inserted between the lower compartment (100) and the upper compartment (200) thus forming a partition between the compartments. The housing (1000) of the present disclosure, when utilized for housing data distribution elements and electrical power distribution elements separately in its compartments, provides safe access to the data distribution elements and prevents risk of touching live electrical components.

The enclosure has a gasket that includes a first portion having a sloping surface which provides a continuously incremental amount of sealing in cooperation with a beveled edge of a door of the enclosure and a second portion having a flat surface which is compressed by a wedge projection in the door and provides water tight sealing as well. The enclosure includes a locking bar having a tapered portion, which moves into an opening in a flange of the enclosure and automatically creates a continuously incremental amount of pushing force upon the door against the gasket when a pivotable handle is operated for closing the door.

    摘要: A split door submersible housing for an electrical distribution system includes a cabinet body defining an interior region configured to accept a component of the electrical distribution system, and a first door and a second door positioned side by side to cover an open front portion of the cabinet body. The cabinet body includes at least one opening configured to accept an electrode sealed with and electrically isolated from the cabinet body and extending through the cabinet body to establish electrical connection between a corresponding terminal of the component and an electrical distribution network. A gasket system is provided, which comprises a first gasket configured to fit on the first door and a second gasket configured to fit on the second door. The gasket system seals the first door and the second door against each other and against a corresponding surface on the cabinet body, when the first and second doors are closed and locked, so that the housing is water tight.
