    摘要: In a machine for producing and conveying horizontally divided flaskless sand molds, two mold frame cavities are formed above and below a match plate having a pattern on both sides and being movable along horizontal guides relatively to the cavities which are defined by vertically moving mold frames and vertically moving press dies co-operating with said mold frames. The molding sand is introduced pneumatically into the cavities through apertures in the dies and thereafter pressed by a corresponding relative movement between said press dies and match plate, after which the match plate is separated from the mold halves by a corresponding relative movement between the press die and the mold frame on one hand, and the match plate on the other. The match plate is then moved laterally into a rest position and the mold is closed, if necessary, after the insertion of cores. The finished closed mold rests on the bottom press die which is substantially flush with the upper edge of the lower mold frame, and is then displaced laterally from the molding position by the match plate as it returns from its rest position. The ejected finished mold is added to a mold train, and the finished mold is at least supported on two sides by supporting means.

    摘要: A void former is arranged in a mold (30). The void former includes an insert (1) made of flexible material that forms a loop around a core region (15) within the mold. Casting material is added in a fluid state into the mold so as to fill a predefined volume for the facing element, including the core region. After hardening of the casting material, the facing element (10) is removed from the mold, and the void former is removed from the facing element. The facing element comprises an anchoring core formed by the hardened casting material in the core region (15). Removing the void former comprises pulling the insert (1) away from a rear surface of the facing element (10). The flexible material of the at least one insert is deformed around the anchoring core (15) while it is pulled.

    摘要: A production method for producing cast parts from metal using a sand casting mold (1). The sand casting mold (1) is produced in this case in a molding box (2) by means of a negative-pressure molding method. According to the invention, the sand casting mold (1), which is under negative pressure, in the molding box (2) is first of all filled with molten metal (5). The molding box (2) with the sand casting mold (1), which is under negative pressure therein, is then completely or partially impinged upon by a cooling fluid (4) and after, at the same time as, or before the cooling fluid impingement is opened at places with cooling fluid impingement. As a result of this, cooling fluid (4) is sucked into the sand casting mold (1) which is under negative pressure, as a result of which the solidifying cast part (3) is quenched more quickly.

    摘要: Purposes of the present invention are to provide a dry coated sand having a high degree of fluidity at the room temperature, a method of advantageously producing the coated sand, and a method of producing a casting mold having excellent properties, by using the coated sand. The dry coated sand is obtained by mixing an aqueous solution of a water glass used as a binder, with a heated refractory aggregate, whereby water in the aqueous solution is evaporated, and a coating layer of the binder is formed on surfaces of the refractory aggregate. A moisture percentage in the thus obtained dry coated sand is controlled so as to be not more than 0.5% by mass. The intended casting mold is obtained by filling a molding cavity of a forming mold, with the dry coated sand, and passing a steam through the coated sand, to solidify or cure the coated sand.
