    摘要: A multiple-turn scroll pump comprises a pumping unit on each lateral side of a base plate of an oscillatable scroll piston driven by an eccentric drive. Each pumping unit includes a spirally shaped groove in a scroll housing and a spirally shaped displacement blade forming part of the scroll piston. The groove in one of the pumping units extends from the peripheral part of the scroll housing through at least one turn of a spiral and terminates at the intermediate part of the housing. The groove in the other pumping unit also begins close to the peripheral part of the scroll housing but extends through a number of spiral turns greater than that of the groove in the first pumping unit. Passages are provided in the scroll piston to communicate grooves in both units in such a manner that the fluid drawn into the first pumping unit is compressed mainly in the second pumping unit and is discharged solely therefrom. Mechanism for constraining the movement of the oscillating piston with respect to the scroll housing is conveniently housed within the confinement of the groove in the first pumping unit to reduce the overall radial dimension of the pump.

Spaces formed before and behind the sliding member in the sliding direction thereof are utilized as oil chambers respectively, whereby lubricating oil pumped-up from an oil pickup provided at a crankshaft is forcibly fed by the pump action caused by sliding motion of the sliding member onto the slidable contact surface of a thrust bearing supporting the orbiting scroll.

    摘要: A scroll type compressor is disclosed. The compressor includes a housing having a fluid inlet port and an outlet port. A fixed scroll is fixed within the housing and has a circular end plate from which a first wrap extends. The end plate of the fixed scroll partitions the inner chamber of the housing into a front chamber connected to the fluid inlet port and a rear chamber. The rear chamber is divided into a central chamber connected to the fluid outlet port and an outer chamber. An orbiting scroll, which is disposed in the front chamber, also has a circular end plate from which a second wrap extends. Both wraps interfit at angular and radial offsets to form a plurality of line contacts to define at least one pair of sealed off fluid pockets. The end plate of the fixed scroll has at least two holes which are placed at symmetrical position and connect the fluid pockets to the outer chamber. The end plate also has a communicating hole which connects the first chamber and the outer chamber. Valve members are disposed in the outer chamber for opening and closing each hole. A control mechanism which is disposed in the outer chamber controls the operation of the valve members.

    摘要: A scroll type fluid displacement apparatus including a housing with a fluid inlet port and fluid outlet port is disclosed. A fixed scroll is joined with the housing and has a first circular end plate from which a first wrap extends. An orbiting scroll has a second circular end plate from which a second wrap extends. The first and second wraps interfit at an angular and radial offset to make a plurality of line contacts to define at least one pair of sealed off fluid pockets. A driving mechanism, which includes a drive shaft, is operatively connected to the orbiting scroll to effect the orbital motion of the orbiting scroll at radius Ror, while the rotation of the orbiting scroll is prevented by a rotation preventing/thrust bearing device, whereby the fluid in the fluid pockets moves inwardly or outwardly and changes in volume. The center of the first circular end plate is aligned with the center line of the housing and the center of the first wrap is radially offset from the center of the first circular end plate by the distance 1/2 Ror. The center of the second wrap is radially offset from the center of the second circular end plate by the distance 1/2 Ror. The drive shaft has a center line, which is aligned with the center line of the housing, and also has a crank pin, the center line of which is aligned with the center of the second circular end plate.

    摘要: In a scroll compressor, means for maintaining the motion of an orbiting plate in fixed angular relationship to a stationary plate and for modulating the capacity of the compressor. The orbiting and stationary plates include intermeshed wrap elements of similar spiral shape about an axis. A coupling ring is slideably disposed between the plates and sealingly encloses the wrap elements. Four slots are provided in the coupling ring, aligned at right angles to each other and spaced apart around its inner circumference. Three segments, extending outward from the wrap elements, sealingly engage these slots. The fourth slot is engaged by a sliding key attached to one of the plates. The segments separate a first and a second fluid inlet and cooperate with the slots in the coupling ring to constrain the orbiting plate's motion in fixed angular relationship to the stationary plate. Valves on the first and second inlets are provided to control the flow of fluid to be compressed into the separate inlet volumes defined by the segments, thereby modulating the compressor's capacity.

    摘要: An orbital drive for delivering high torque at low speed ratios comprises two pairs of meshed gears, each pair including an inner externally-toothed gear and an outer internally-toothed orbiting gear arranged to orbit in an eccentric path around its mate. One of the inner gears is stationary and the other is mounted on an output shaft. The orbiting gears are connected to orbit together around the output shaft axis, and may be formed in a common blank. A rotatable ring, concentric with the output axis, has eccentric driving relation with the orbiting gears. This driving relation may be established by peripheral engagement of these gears in an opening in the ring eccentric to the output axis. The ring member may serve as an input drive to produce orbital motion of the orbiting gears and thereby drive the output shaft, and may be driven mechanically, hydraulically, or electrically. The orbital drive may also serve as an hydraulic or pneumatic motor, pump, or brake, in which the mating gear teeth form expansible chambers to which working fluid is commutatively directed by ports formed in the ring member. Two or more of these orbital drives may be coupled to a common output shaft and a common input drive to provide added torque transmission capability; their respective orbiting gears are preferably phased apart equiangularly to relieve the output shaft of bending loads.
