    摘要: In an organic EL display device comprising a substrate, a plurality of pixel regions in each of which a first electrode, a light emitting material layer, and a second electrode are laminated in this order above the substrate, and a bank film formed above the substrate to separate respective one of the pixel regions from another of the pixel regions adjacent thereto, wherein the bank film has a plurality of openings exposing upper surfaces of the first electrodes to the light emitting material layers in the respective pixel regions, and the second electrode is formed over the a plurality of openings of the bank film in common with the pixel regions, the present invention forms the bank film of an inorganic material and shapes a side wall thereof lying around each of the openings thereof to be sloped at an angle less than 85 degrees (°) with respect to a principal surface of the substrate in order to prevent the deterioration of the light emitting material layer and disconnection of the second electrode at steps of bank film lying in the vicinity of the openings thereof.

    摘要: An electroluminescent lamp has a face side laminated film and a rear side laminated film. The face side laminated film is constituted by sequentially formed layers including a transparent electrode, a luminous layer formed of a moistureproof-coated phosphor powder distributed in fluororesin such as vinylidene fluoride which is a low hygroscopic resin, and a reflective insulation layer formed of a high dielectric material distributed in fluororesin. The rear side laminated film is constituted by sequentially formed layers including a film such as a PET film, an adhesive layer, and a rear electrode which is formed of a conductive material such as carbon paste or nickel paste having a migration property lower than that of silver (Ag) and which is thermally-compress-bonded to the reflective insulation layer. This arrangement makes it possible to omit such outer coat films and hygroscopic films as used in the prior art arrangement.

    摘要: An alpha-numeric character display device is formed on a transparent plate having a plurality of coplanar opaque layers covering the plate. The opaque layers have windows therethrough which are located so as to display an alpha-numeric character. A plurality of light emitting diodes are mounted on the opaque layer. Layers of light transmitting material extend from the diodes above the opaque layer up to and through the windows. Each diode has a PN junction lying parallel to the transparent plate. A novel method of forming this diode is also disclosed.
