    摘要: An amplifier slew rate boosting scheme for use with an amplifier having a closed-loop gain equal to or very near unity has one plate of a compensation capacitor conventionally coupled to an internal high impedance gain node, but has the other plate of the compensation capacitor unconventionally driven with a buffered version of the input signal. The voltage appearing across the compensation capacitor in response to changes in the input signal is significantly less than that achieved using conventional compensation architectures where the other plate of the compensation capacitor is coupled to an AC ground. Since very little current is required to charge the compensation capacitor, the tail current generated by the input stage can be used instead to charge parasitic capacitances within the amplifier to increase the slew rate.

    摘要: High-side physical interface driver circuit (10), for use in a variety of data transmission applications, includes an external connection (18) for connecting and providing drive current to an external physical interface. Output transistor (16) for channeling high-side drive current to external connection (18). Output transistor (16) includes base (18), collector (14), and emitter (24). Control transistor (28) controls the on state of output transistor (16) to supply high-side drive current to external connection (18). At least one shorting transistor (30) shorts base (19) of output transistor (16) to emitter (24), when high-side voltage reaches a predetermined minimum voltage level. The breakdown prevention circuitry, including transistors (50), (52), (102 and 116), as well as associated circuitry, couples with control transistor (30) for preventing control transistor (30) from shorting due to breakdown of parasitic diodes when the high-side physical interface driver circuit reaches a predetermined maximum value.

    摘要: A switch mode power converter (10) is provided. Converter (10) includes a switching cell (12) that transforms an input voltage at input port (22) to an output voltage at output port (24). Switching cell (12) is controlled by a fixed-period, variable on-time control signal from summing comparator (14). The period of the control signal is set by a driving circuit (20). The on time is set by first and second feedback circuits (16) and (18). First feedback circuit (16) provides a fast transient response. Second feedback circuit (18) provides an stable dc steady-state operating point.

Within this depletion diode, there is a depletion mode transistor that is coupled to the anode terminal at its gate and the cathode terminal at its drain. A diode is coupled between the source of the depletion mode transistor and the anode terminal, and a variable capacitor is coupled between the source of the depletion mode transistor and the anode terminal, where the capacitance of the variable capacitor is controls the reverse recovery time of the tunable depletion diode.

Here, however, a pipelined CT SDM is provided that has an architecture that is conducing to being calibrated.
