Abstract:
A metallic porous product is produced by applying a slurry of a mixture of skeleton constituent metal particles and property modifying particles to an inflammable porous foam, burning the inflammable porous foam having open pores by heat to provide a metallic skeleton structure, and sintering the metallic skeleton structure.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for producing a magnesium light alloy product. In order to enhance formability in plastically forming a magnesium alloy material and obtain high tensile strength and high proof stress in the final product, the magnesium alloy material is cast by using molten magnesium alloy containing strontium of 0.02 to 0.5 weight percent and then plastically formed into a magnesium light alloy product in set shape.
Abstract:
The manufacturing method of plastically formed products prevents the generation of cracks at the time of plastic working, thereby increasing the productivity. It is also prevented that the metallic particles constituting the product become large and rough in structure. In the manufacturing method, only the compact treatment and the vacuum deaeration treatment are carried out prior to the extrusion treatment, without the pressure-heat treatment performed. Therefore, processing steps prior to the extrusion treatment are simplified, so that the productivity of the plastically formed products is improved and the metallic particles are prevented from being large and rough. The diffusion treatment between the extrusion treatment and the forging treatment enhances the adhesion at the inner part of the extruded material in the radial direction, whereby the generation of cracks at the time of plastic working is avoided.
Abstract:
In transferring color image data having a tone on a recording paper, a threshold matrix data for adjusting the tone is selected in accordance with the image data having a dot arrangement. The threshold conversion curve of the threshold matrix data selected is used to correct a variation in the tone of the image data due to mechanical and electrical variations in a color image transferring apparatus including variations in the rotation speed of a transferring drum, a power source voltage to be applied to a transferring head and a relative position between the transferring drum and the recording paper. This correction can achieve improved transference of the image data on the recording paper.
Abstract:
A method for forming a coating film with a relief pattern, which comprises coating an undercoating material on a substrate surface to form a cured undercoating film, coating an intermediate coating material partly on the undercoating film in a desired pattern, drying it to such an extent that the amount of the solvent in the formed intermediate coating film is within a range of from 1 to 50% by weight, then overcoating a top coating material comprising, as binders, a polyester resin and an aminoplast resin cross-linking agent having a surface tension of at least 40 dyn/cm over the entire surface, followed by baking and curing to form a top coating film with the relief pattern.
Abstract:
A damper includes a cylinder, a partition member for partitioning the interior of the cylinder into two liquid chambers, an orifice for generating a damping force by flow of liquid, and a bypass path affording communication between the two liquid chambers. The damper further includes a mass body attached to the partition member that is movable in an axial direction of the cylinder and biased to close the bypass path. The speed of the mass body when opening the bypass path is faster than the speed of the mass body when closing the bypass path.
Abstract:
A reproducing apparatus is arranged to have a plurality of reproducing modes corresponding to a plurality of recording modes in which recording is performed on a tape-shaped recording medium by allowing the medium to longitudinally travel at one of different speeds and to reproduce information signals recorded in recording tracks which are formed on the tape-shaped recording medium in the direction of crossing the longitudinal direction of the medium by recording the signals at least in one of the recording modes. The apparatus comprises reproducing means for reproducing the information signals by tracing the recording tracks; reproducing mode error signal generating means for generating on the basis of the information signal reproduced by the reproducing means a reproducing mode error signal relative to whether repreduction is being performed in one of the reproducing modes which corresponds to the recording mode employed in recording the information signal on the tape-shaped recording medium; reproducing mode selecting means for selecting one of the plurality of reproducing modes according to the reproducing mode error signal generated by the reproducing mode error signal generating means; and generation characteristic control means for controlling the reproducing mode error signal generating characteristic of the reproducing mode error signal generating means according to the kind of the reproducing mode selected by the reproducing mode selecting means.
Abstract:
A double-hung window has auxiliary vertical frames mounted on respective left and right stiles of inner and outer sliding sash units without providing respective outer peripheries of rectangular stile-rail assemblies of the inner and the outer sliding sash units with frameworks wherein the inner and the outer sliding sash units are respectively constructed so as to be slidably moved up and down freely through the auxiliary vertical frames along inner and outer guide recesses formed, respectively, in the left and right vertical frame members of a window frame, so that the outer surfaces of the glasses attached to inner and outer sliding sashes can be readily cleaned, and that the weight of the inner and the outer sliding sashes can be reduced so as to reduce the resistance to sliding thereof, thereby enabling the inner and the outer sliding sashes to be slidably moved smoothly.
Abstract:
This controller controls a varible damping force shock absorber taking the cycle time and the oscillating phase of the body vibration. The controller increases the damping force when the body is moving toward its mean position. Before that, the damping force is kept weak so that the body vibration is hastened to become moving toward the mean position. Some criteria for determining that the body is moving toward its mean position are proposed.
Abstract:
A weathertight sash window assembly including a pair of first and second engaging members disposed on and extending longitudinally of a pair of meeting first and second stiles, respectively. The first engaging member is movable between a first position in which the first engaging member pulls or draws the second engaging member toward the interior of the window assembly to force the second stile firmly on to the first stile throughout their length and a second position in which the first engaging member releases the second engaging member to allow the second stile off the first stile. The sash window assembly further includes means on the first stile for moving the first engaging member between the first and second positions in response to movement of a first fastener member between its locked and unlocked positions.
