    摘要: An automatic focus indicating device especially adapted for use with a single lens reflex camera in which a contrast signal is produced by scanning the image of an object being viewed through the photographing lens of the camera. This signal is converted into an indication signal which may be either an audio or a visual signal. As the lens is moved to positions near the focus point, the indicating device is activated to a first mode. As the lens is set precisely upon the point of focus, the indicating device operates in a second mode. In this manner, the camera is well adapted for both hand-held and fixed position usage.

    摘要: A focusing system for a camera using an array of photoelectric elements to sense the level of light at points in the image plane of an objective lens. The output of the elements are scanned in sequence to form a train of pulses whose amplitudes correspond to the level of light at the respective elements as they are scanned. The pulse train is split into two pulse trains of alternate pulses. The two pulse trains are separately converted to two analog signals and applied to a differential amplifier. The difference output is clamped to a reference potential and applied to a peak detector. When the objective is in focus, the output of the peak detector is at a maximum.

    摘要: An automatic focus detecting device for a camera including a self-scanning type photoelectric conversion element array. The array is operated in two modes, a brightness detecting mode and a focus detecting mode. In the brightness detecting mode, the individual light detecting elements are connected in parallel with one another and to a brightness detection module. Once the brightness detection has been made, the scanning frequency of the array is set in accordance with the brightness value detected. The photodiode elements are then coupled in serial fashion to a focus detecting module. The position of the lens is varied until the focus detecting module indicates that the proper focalization position has been reached.

As soon as an optical image is formed on the medium, the image is recorded and developed as a visible image therein. The developed image is electronically read as image data by a line sensor, and the read image data may be stored in an IC memory card, a floppy disk, a hard disk or the like. Optionally, the read image data may be transferred from the camera to an external device such as a computer, a TV monitor or the like. The developed image can be thermally erased from the medium by using an electric heater. One of these operations is executed by a depression of a single switch in accordance with a mode-selection switch.

The camera uses a recording medium in which subject images formed through the photographic optical system are electrically developed. The exposure control apparatus includes a detecting device for detecting first photometric data which corresponds to subject light passed through the recording medium at a moment an exposure of the recording medium commences. The detecting device further detects second photometric data which corresponds to subject light passed through the recording medium after the exposure commences and before the exposure terminates. The exposure control apparatus further includes a calculating device for calculating a transmittance of the recording medium after the exposure commences, using the first and second photometric data, and a controlling device for controlling the exposure of the recording medium in accordance with the calculated transmittance.

    摘要: An encoded symbol reader for reading and decoding an image of an encoded symbol is capable of operating in three modes and has a CCD, a display, and a light source. In each mode, the reading of an encoded symbol is initiated by a trigger switch. In the first mode, the CCD, display and light source are continuously driven and remain in an ON state. In the second mode, the CCD, display and light source are turned OFF when a decoding operation is completed after the trigger switch is released. In the third mode, the CCD, display, light source are turned OFF after a predetermined period has elapsed after the decoding operation is completed and the trigger switch is released. While operating in the third mode, during the predetermined interval, the re-reading of another symbol can be immediately executed without having to wait for the components to warm up.
