Abstract:
An AC generator for a vehicle has a cover and a connector to be connected with an end connector from a vehicle mounted circuit. The connector and the end connector have a lock mechanism using a lock portion and a lever. The cover has an opening for providing a visual accessibility on the lock mechanism. The opening allows to check the lock portion on the connector after the cover is installed and the lever on the end connector even after the end connector is connected with the connector.
Abstract:
A vehicle AC generator includes a rectifier unit having plus cooling fin carrying a plurality of plus diodes, a minus cooling fin carrying a plurality of minus diodes, and a connection member disposed between the plus and minus cooling fins for insulating the two fins and connecting the plus and minus diodes. A plurality of U-shaped terminal members axially extend from the connection member which respectively guide the leads of the armature winding. Each of the terminal members has three longitudinal side walls forming generally rectangular cross-section, one end connected to the rectifier unit, the other end connected to one of the leads, and a heat-block portion having at least two of the side walls.
Abstract:
A ribbon mask for use with a impact dot matrix printer is provided. The ribbon mask comprises a head confronting surface and a pair of opposed side plates each positioned on an opposite side of the head confronting surface. An obtuse angle is formed between said head confronting surface each of the opposed side plates. A pair of fitting tabs are also provided. Each fitting tab is positioned on one of the pair of opposed side plates. An acute angle is formed between each of the fitting tabs and a plane parallel to a plane in which the head confronting surface lies. As a result of this construction, when the ribbon mask comes in contact with a sheet of a recording medium, the ribbon mask is deformed so that a portion of the head confronting surface comes into contact with an end of a recording head, which in turn prevents the ribbon mask from interfering with the sheet of the recording medium.
Abstract:
In an alternator, a brush holder holds a pair of brushes which abut slip rings perpendicularly. The brush holder is disposed within an inner periphery of a cooling fan so that the brush holder overlaps with the cooling fan in the axial direction by approximately a width of a brush. The brush holder is secured to the rear housing and disposed to face an air intake window. As a result, the axial length of the alternator is reduced without sacrificing cooling capacity for the brushes.
Abstract:
A fire detecting/extinguishing apparatus according to the present invention is comprised of a fire detecting unit which monitors to detect a fire within a monitoring area, the fire detecting unit stepwise scanning in a vertical direction while scanning the fire monitoring area in the vertical direction at each step of the horizontal scanning; a water discharging unit having a water discharging nozzle for discharging water to the monitoring area, the water discharging unit being rotatable in the horizontal direction, the water discharging unit being directed toward a position of the fire based on the fire detection by the fire detecting unit; a swinging unit which swings the water discharging unit in the horizontal direction; and a casing in which the fire detecting unit and the water discharging unit are housed as a single unit. Further, the apparatus of the present invention includes a cover fixed to a side of the water discharging nozzle which is opposite to the side of the water discharging nozzle. The cover is capable of rotating together with the water discharging unit, and the cover is flush with a front wall of the casing when the water discharging nozzle is housed in the casing.
Abstract:
Cooling wind is introduced into an electric-parts-chamber through openings formed at the bottom of a cover, then taken into the intake side of a cooling fan through the air intakes formed in the wall end of a housing from the electric-parts-chamber. The cooling wind is accelerated by the fan to be driven off from the outlets formed in the peripheral wall of the housing. The cylindrical portion of the positive side cooling fins of the rectifier is extended to the space between the outer periphery of the fan and the outlets. The inner diameter of the cylindrical portion is longer than that of the rear coil end. Thus, the coil end and the cylindrical portion of the positive side cooling fin are cooled sufficiently by the cooling wind blowing thereon at high speed, so that the rectifier can endure large thermal load with reduced wind noise even if the size of the alternator is small.
Abstract:
A printing method of playing out piled sheets of paper one by one, feeding the played-out sheet of paper to the position of a platen, and printing the sheet of paper, the printing method includes the steps of: (a) feeding the sheet of paper played out from the piled position thereof at a first speed until the sheet of paper approaches a platen which is stopping; (b) feeding the sheet of paper at a second speed lower than the first speed until a required short time passes from a time when the sheet of paper is engaged with the stopping platen, for performing a sheet flexing and a sheet skew removing; and (c) driving the platen at the second speed to feed the sheet of paper to a printing position. And the printing apparatus performs the printing method.
Abstract:
A filtration membrane module submerged with processed liquid in the processing tank. Plural plate-like, rigid membrane cartridges are vertically placed in parallel to each other as properly spaced from the adjoining membrane cartridges. The cleaning stream generating means for supplying a flow parallel to the membrane surfaces of the membrane cartridges opposes the gaps between the membrane cartridges opposite to each other. The sucking means for sucking the permeated liquid in each membrane cartridge is communicated with each passage of permeated liquid in each membrane cartridge. The membrane supporting plate for retaining the filtration membrane of the membrane cartridge is made hollow using a rigid structure member.
Abstract:
In an image forming apparatus where a transfer roller is arranged to be out of contact with a photoreceptor drum, a guide member for guiding a transfer sheet so as to abut the photoreceptor drum at a predetermined angle and an auxiliary guide member for supporting the transfer sheet to prevent the rear end of the transfer sheet separated from the end of the guide member from being weighed down are arranged close to the photoreceptor drum. Further, to supply a conveying force to the transfer sheet until the rear end of the transfer sheet is separated from the guide member, a conveying roller is arranged opposite to the upper surface of the guide member where the transfer sheet passes.
Abstract:
A solid-liquid separator for sludge or the like comprising: a treating tank; means disposed in the treating tank for establishing a horizontal flow therein; and a plurality of stages of submerged filter systems arranged in the treating tank sequentially in the direction of the horizontal flow. This horizontal flow is used sequentially in the submerged filter systems so that the power to be consumed for establishing a scavenging flow can be reduced.
