    摘要: The present invention provides a liquid casting composition for producing photochromic optical elements, the composition including: (i) an acrylate or methacrylate monomer; (ii) a photochromic compound; (iii) a terpinolene-based radical chain transfer agent; and (iv) a thermal free radical initiator. Also provided are methods for producing photochromic optical elements using the liquid casting composition and photochromic optical elements produced thereby. The photochromic optical elements include, for example, ophthalmic lenses.

Nucleic acid constructs for modifying MYB4 transcription factor expression are described. By over-expressing the identified MYB4 transcription factors, for example, an accompanying decrease in lignin content may be achieved. Plants are provided by the invention comprising such modifications, as are methods for their preparation and use.

    摘要: The invention provides methods for modifying lignin, cellulose, xylan, and hemicellulose content in plants, and for achieving ectopic lignification and, for instance, secondary cell wall synthesis in pith cells, by altered regulation of a WRKY transcription factor. Nucleic acid constructs for altered WRKY-TF expression are described. Transgenic plants are provided that comprise modified pith cell walls, and lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose content. Plants described herein may be used, for example, as improved biofuel feedstock and as highly digestible forage crops.

    摘要: This invention discloses a charging/discharging protective circuit for a secondary battery pack, having an over-charging/discharging voltage comparator, a reference voltage source and a battery status decision circuit. There is also a sampling circuit having a sequential pulse generator for generating pulses for selecting one of the batteries in the battery pack for testing purposes. The pulse generator provides M-channel gating pulses to the selection circuit of the battery under test and provides sampling pulses to the over-charging/discharging voltage comparators. The reference voltage source has a regulated output circuit. This invention uses time division inspection methods to provide a cost-effective solution for inspecting batteries in a battery pack.

A classifier (56 to 59), (66 to 69) and (76 to 79) is also provided to identify predetermined “meta-interaction patterns” from the streams (25, 35 and 45), and to weight the identified predetermined “meta-interaction patterns” to produce respective weighted outputs.     摘要: A method and an apparatus for producing a signal for verifying performances of a standard radio receiver. The apparatus includes a control module adaptable for controlling data processing, a program module for controlling and storing a digital simulation signal, a conversion module carrying out D/A conversion for the digital simulation signal, and a simulation module. When validating whether the standard radio receiver is compliant to IEEE 802.15.4-2006 standard, a verifier only needs to set up parameters defining types and signal strengths of a data frame w/o noise signals, time intervals for sending out the data frame, and a count of times of sending the data frame. Based on predefined parameters, the simulation module generates a digital simulation signal which is then processed by successive hardware devices to generate a simulated verification signal needed for validating the standard radio receiver.
