摘要: In one embodiment, an improved transceiver assembly for a vehicle capable of detecting potentially hazardous objects is disclosed. The transceiver assembly comprises a tapered slot feed antenna for generating a beam and for detecting the beam as reflected from the potential hazards. The antenna is formed in or on a housing which also contains a parabolic dish that oscillates to sweep the beam of radiation towards the potential hazards outside of the vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, approximately 77 GHz radiation is generated from and detected by the antenna. The antenna is preferably formed on a printed circuit board (PCB) (substrate), which can include additional circuitry necessary to operate the antenna, and which is preferably mounted at an acute angle with respect to the housing to direct the beam at the parabolic dish.

摘要: A high-resolution, per-packet measurement tool for analyzing a computer network that operates by sending a predetermined number of packets from a sender machine to a receiver machine with measurement information inserted into the packet. The system kernel at the sending machine stamps a sequence number and the sender's local time into the data section of each packet. When packets arrive at the receiver machine, they are similarly stamped by the receiving machine's kernel with the receiving machine's local time. The maintained packet information serves as the basis for latency analysis. For example, one set of latencies can be obtained with QoS mechanisms turned on, and another set with QoS mechanisms turned off, whereby the benefits of the QoS mechanisms can be accurately determined. To analyze the latencies, the present invention normalizes each time and each latency into relative latency information. Clock skew and timer jumps may be handled as part of the normalization.

摘要: A seal is provided for effectively inhibiting the egress of fluids from the working channel of an endoscope when an elongate device having a region with a non-circular cross-sectional shape is disposed therein. The seal has a body portion with a proximal end adapted for insertion of the elongate device, a distal end adapted for connection to the proximal end of the endoscope, and a wall defining a lumen adapted to receive the elongate device and to provide access to the working channel of the endoscope. The seal includes a sealing element for sealing the region of the elongate device with a non-circular cross-sectional shape. The sealing element conforms to the profile of the non-circular region.

摘要: An endoscope seal that effectively inhibits the egress of fluids from the working channel of an endoscope when an elongate device having a non-circular shaft is disposed therein. The endoscope seal includes a body portion having a proximal end adapted for insertion of an elongate device such as a rapid exchange biliary catheter, a distal end adapted for connection to the proximal end of an endoscope, a lumen extending therethrough which is adapted to receive the elongate device and to provide access to the working channel of the endoscope, and a means for conforming to the non-circular shaft of the elongate device to inhibit the flow of fluid from the working channel of the endoscope. The conforming means may, for example, comprise one or more protrusions extending radially inward in the lumen of the body portion, a sealing material such as a surgical foam that is disposed in the lumen of the body portion, or a sealing mandrel. Whether a single protrusion, a plurality of protrusions, a sealing material or a sealing mandrel is utilized, the present invention provides endoscope seals that readily seal about elongate devices having either circular or non-circular profiles.

摘要: A linkage support system and method for mounting and supporting a linkage on a work vehicle. The linkage support system includes a load bearing support and a removable linkage pin support rigidly attached to the load bearing support. The work vehicle is, typically, an earthmoving vehicle which includes a frame, a work tool such as a bucket, and a linkage for manipulating the work tool. The load bearing support may be a portion of the frame of the vehicle.

摘要: Locking device that is mounted on an endoscope or the like for selectively securing the position of a guide wire and/or catheter relative to the endoscope or the like. The locking device preferably includes a side wall with an opening therein for receiving the proximal end of a guide wire or catheter. The opening is preferably J-shaped or boot shaped, and has an entry end and a locking end. Once a guide wire or catheter is in a desired position within a body cavity, the portion of the guide wire or catheter that extends outside of the endoscope or the like may be moved into the opening. More particularly, a portion of the guide wire or catheter may be inserted by an operator through the entry end of the opening and into the locking end, wherein the locking end frictionally secures the position of the guide wire or catheter relative to the endoscope or the like.

摘要: A method (140) for tuning millimeter-wave FET amplifiers (20) during manufacture, through the application (144) of a gate bias voltage (52) so as to tune the FET (22) of the amplifier (20) to match an input circuit (24), and through the application (146) of a drain bias voltage (74) so as to tune the FET (22) of the amplifier (20) to match an output circuit (26), then measuring (150) the frequency response of the amplifier (20). This tuning method (140) is repeated (152) until a predetermined frequency response has been achieved. Once achieved, the predetermined frequency response is realized (154) by permanently fixing the gate bias voltage (52) and the drain bias voltage (74) at the determined values. This iterative method (140) of tuning amplifiers (20) is then repeated for all amplifiers (20) to be tuned.

摘要: An articulator for interconnecting front and rear chassis portions of a vehicle including a horizontal coupling assembly permitting relative pivoting of the front and rear portions of the vehicle about a generally horizontal axis. The horizontal axis passes longitudinally through the center of a pair of cylindrical mounting sleeves. A pair of insert enclosures each extend about respective cylindrical mounting sleeves and are concentric therewith. The mounting sleeves are connected to one of the vehicle portions while the insert enclosures are connected to a frame member which, in turn, is connected to another of the vehicle portions. There is a resilient insert fitted between the cylindrical mounting sleeve and the pair of insert enclosures.
