摘要: A fixing structure of a connector includes a housing and a rear holder fixing the housing to a casing by screws. The rear holder has a base plate opposing the casing. First through holes are formed on the base plate so as to correspond to second openings for leading out conductive parts of the female terminals respectively. Terminal holding members are respectively provided at the first through holes for contacting the female terminals respectively. The screws are inserted respectively through second through holes which are arranged so as to deviate to one side with respect to a center of gravity of a region in which the first through holes are formed. Elasticity of one of the terminal holding members which is disposed at a first position facing at least one of the second through holes in a peripheral part of the region are smaller than elasticity of another one of the terminal holding members which is disposed at a position except for the first position.

摘要: In a connector fitting construction of the invention, a slider 60 is slidably supported within a housing 53 of a female connector 50 housing, and when the female connector is to be fitted relative to a male connector 70, the slider cooperates with compression springs 59 to flex a lock arm 56 so as to retainingly engage the lock arm with the male connector 70. A pair of abutment projections 64 are formed respectively at opposite side portions of a lower surface of a slider arm 62 provided at the slider 60. A pair of stopper projections 72 are formed on an upper surface of a housing 71 of the male connector 70, and are pressed respectively against the abutment projections 64 during a connector fitting operation to move the slider 60 toward a rear end of the female connector 50. An abutment surface 72a of a generally trapezoidal shape is formed on a front surface of each of the stopper projections 72. An abutment surface 64a of the abutment projection 64 is a slanted surface which is slanting downwardly rearwardly, and the abutment surface 72a of the stopper projection 72 is a slanted surface which is slanting downwardly forwardly.

摘要: The connector includes a rear holder inserted into an opening 10 of a connector housing for locking terminals. The holder has a locking portion engaging with a rear end edge of the opening. The locking portion is formed with an inclined stopping surface. The stopping surface is facing in a disengaging direction of the holder and is capable of making a sliding contact with the rear end edge of the opening. The locking portion is a locking projection or may be an inclined stopping surface formed in a rear end portion of the holder. The holder has a base plate, a terminal locking projection, and a pair of side plates. The side plate is formed with a preliminary engagement portion associated with a preliminary locking portion of the connector housing. On final locking of the holder, the fore end face of the rear wall positioned behind the opening of the connector housing abuts against the rear end surface of the base plate of the holder.

摘要: A double lock connector capable of locking an electric terminal with double locking mechanisms is provided, which includes: a connector housing with an opening; a rear holder to be inserted into the connector housing from the opening in a direction orthogonal to a direction of insertion of the electric terminal so as to lock finally the electric terminal; and an engaging portion provided on the rear holder and having a tapered engaging plane to slidingly engage an edge of the opening so as to engage the rear holder with the connector housing, wherein the rear holder moves inside the connector housing when the electric terminal is pulled out. Thus, a double lock connector capable of preventing disengagement of the rear holder from the connector housing can be realized.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a waterproof connector housing and an apparatus for practicing the method of manufacture are provided. The apparatus includes overflow projecting walls which extends either from a male metal mold or a female metal mold in a direction in which the male metal mold is inserted into a female metal mold. The overflow preventing walls are formed at edge portions of a space for forming a packing, after tips of the overflow preventing walls are pressed against a housing arranged between the male and female metal molds so that the tips of the overflow preventing walls are allowed to adhere to the housing. Rubber material is injected into the space and the overflow preventing walls act to surely prevent the overflow of rubber material from the space.
