    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5th Generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transfer rate after a 4th Generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments of the disclosure, an operation method performed by a Center Unit (CU)-Control Plane (CP) of a candidate Base Station (BS) may include transmitting a first message for a bearer context setup request to a CU-User Plane (UP) of the candidate BS, wherein the first message includes information for indicating a conditional handover which is a handover performed by a User Equipment (UE) when at least one execution condition is satisfied, and receiving a second message for a bearer context setup response from the CU-UP.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of transmitting/receiving a signal in a Mobile Management Entity (MME) of a mobile communication system, the method comprising: transmitting a subscriber information request message including information of a UE, to a Home Subscriber Server (HSS); receiving, from the HSS, a response message which corresponds to the request message and includes an indicator indicating whether it is possible to perform traffic offloading using a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) with regard to an Access Point Name (APN) connection or a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection of the UE; determining whether it is possible to perform the traffic offloading using the WLAN, on the basis of at least one of information included in the received response message and information configured in the MME; and; and transmitting, to the UE, a message including information on whether it is possible to perform the traffic offloading using the WLAN. A communication method according to an embodiment of the present specification can generate one or more PDN connections with regard to one APN when the UE accesses a PDN through the WLAN. Further, the communication method according to the present invention can effectively be subjected to a traffic offloading control by the eNB even when the UE is roaming.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments of the disclosure, an operating method of a user plane function (UPF) in a wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor are provided. The operating method includes receiving a first parameter for clock synchronization from a base station, and performing the clock synchronization with a neighboring network system using the received first parameter and a second parameter. The first parameter may include information relating to a link delay time between the neighboring network system and a network system comprising the UPF, and a residence time of a terminal, a base station and the UPF of the network system comprising the UPF, and the second parameter may include information relating to a backhaul delay time between the base station and the UPF.
