摘要: A disk player capable of playing one of a plurality of disks arranged on a tray, comprises a housing, and a tray having a center and a plurality of disk rests aligned radially around the center of the tray, the tray movable between a disk loading position outside of the housing and an operating position located inside the housing the center of the tray corresponding to a disk playing position when the tray is in the operating position. A disk selecting device includes a rotatable-arm member rotatable about the disk playing position and a disk holder slidably attached to the rotatable-arm member, the disk holder reciprocatively movable between the disk playing position and one of the plurality of disk rests for moving a selected disk to be played from its associated disk rest to the disk playing position. A disk detecting device is attached to the disk holder and detects whether the selected disk is attached to the disk holder. The tray is ejected from inside the disk player housing when the disk detecting device determines that the selected disk has become detached from the disk holder during movement of the selected disk from the disk rest to the disk playing position.

摘要: A capacitive displacement type transducer, wherein the oscillation frequency of a self-excited oscillator circuit including a pair of differential capacitors formed with a movable electrode disposed between two outer electrodes is counted by a counter, the output level of the counter is reversed each time a certain count is attained to cause the differential capacitances to be switched alternatively, and to make identical the respective reversal periods, and application voltage to be applied to the differential capacitors being controlled by an integrator, and a voltage relating to the output of the integrator being applied through a fixed impedance to the movable electrode, thereby eliminating fixed capacitances formed across the difference capacitors. Also, a voltage generated by dividing and averaging the output level of the counter by use of a certain pulse duration of a monostable circuit operating in synchronism with a counter, is used to compensate for static pressure changes. Also, a temperature sensing element is included in a converting section to perform temperature correction. The circuit may be used in a two wire transmission system. The circuit improves upon the prior art by eliminating heretofore used complex circuits, thereby increasing reliability, efficiency and reducing size.

摘要: A displacement converter useful for pressure gauges and similar instruments, the converter including a displacement detector provided with a variable capacitor responsive to the displacement to be metered and a fixed capacitor insensitive thereto. Also included is an amplitude-controllable oscillator whose AC output is applied to both capacitors, means being coupled to the capacitors to derive therefrom electrical signals which are a function of their capacitance values. These electrical signals are fed to a control circuit to produce a control signal corresponding to the difference therebetween, the control signal being applied to the oscillator to govern the output amplitude thereof in a manner maintaining the control signal at a constant value.

摘要: A vending system is disclosed which is adapted to be installed in a hotel or the like for permitting the guests to buy articles in a refrigerator or vending machine in a guest room without use of coins. When a guest inserts his memory holder into a vending machine and selects an article, an article code or codes representative of the article or articles he bought are transferred from a transmitter in the vending machine into the memory holder, and an accounting machine reads out the data in the memory holder to prepare a bill. Optical, magnetic or high frequency data transmission is used between the vending machine and the memory holder and between the memory holder and the accounting machine so that no data transmission line is required.

摘要: The accurate position detection without being affected by an unnecessary second magnetic field can be realized by calculating the unnecessary second magnetic field induced and generated at positions of magnetic field sensors by a guiding coil arranged the position detection area of the medical device due to an action of a first magnetic field generated by a magnetic field generator, at the time of position detection, and the second magnetic field is subtracted from the first magnetic field detected by the magnetic field sensors to calculate corrected magnetic-field information. Further, LUTs that store beforehand numerical information having a correlation with the second magnetic field induced and generated at the positions of magnetic field sensors are used to calculate the second magnetic field, thereby enabling to reduce an amount of calculation performed each time and realize high speed processing.

摘要: A position detecting system includes a magnetic field generator, a detecting body, a magnetic field detector, a position/direction calculating unit, and a control unit. The magnetic field generator generates a magnetic field in a three-dimensional space. The detecting body is put into the three-dimensional space, and includes a resonance circuit for generating a resonance magnetic field. The position/direction calculating unit calculates a position/direction of the detecting body. If the resonance circuit is in the non-resonant state, the magnetic field detector detects an environmental magnetic field, and the control unit updates detection data of the environmental magnetic field. If the resonance circuit is in the resonant state, the magnetic field detector detects the spatial magnetic field in the three-dimensional space. The position/direction calculating unit executes processing using the detection data of the spatial magnetic field and updated detection data of the environmental magnetic field.

摘要: A charged-particle beam instrument (such as a transmission electron microscope) which facilitates modifying the diameters of aperture stops installed above and below (on the beam entrance and exit sides) the specimen chamber and exchanging the aperture stops. The instrument has bottom polepieces forming the specimen chamber, aperture stops each having plural holes, pushing mechanisms for pushing the aperture stops against the polepieces and supporting the stops, and stop drive mechanisms for sliding the aperture stops in a direction perpendicular to the path of the beam in response to a manipulation performed outside the electron optical column. The aperture stops are made of a metal foil or sheet and provide a cover over the opening of at least one beam passage hole in the polepieces that faces into the specimen chamber.
