摘要: A printing device controller provided with a first computational processing unit that performs overall control of the device as a whole and a second computational processing unit that consumes less power than the first computational processing unit, the printing device controller including: a RAM (Random Access Memory) having a self-refresh mode; a main control unit whose main processing constituent is the first computational processing unit; and a sub control unit whose main processing constituent is the second computational processing unit. When an instruction to enter a power-saving state is inputted, the main control unit causes the first computational processing unit to store information necessary for returning from the power-saving state into a storage unit and then causes the RAM to enter the self-refresh mode, and the sub control unit then powers off the first computational processing unit.

摘要: A packet transfer scheme in a network system capable of realizing a high speed, large capacity inter-network communication under an internet environment. A network interconnection apparatus (router) has a memory for storing a correspondence relationship between a virtual connection used in receiving a packet from one logical network and a virtual connection used in transmitting a packet to another logical network, and a transfer at a datalink layer is carried out according to the registered correspondence relationship, to effectively form a bypass pipe capable of transferring a packet by an datalink layer level processing alone over a plurality of networks from the transmission terminal to the destination terminal, so that a high speed packet transfer between networks can be realized.

摘要: An outside DTCP bridge for relaying information between an outside communication device connected to an outside network and a home communication device connected to a home network, carries out a first authentication and key exchange processing for purpose of copyright protection between the outside DTCP bridge and the home communication device as well as a second authentication and key exchange processing for purpose of copyright protection between the outside DTCP bridge and the outside communication device, and stores an identification information of the outside communication device. Then, transmission/reception of information between the home network and the outside network is carried out only when the outside communication device which made the access request is stored and both the first authentication and key exchange processing and the second authentication and key exchange processing succeed.

摘要: In a solid electrolytic capacitor, a capacitor element laminate formed by stacking capacitor elements each using a valve metal as an anode body is bonded to a substrate by a conductive adhesive and packaged by a resin portion. The substrate includes a printed substrate made of an epoxy resin. On its mounting surface for the capacitor element laminate, there are provided an anode mounting portion and a cathode mounting portion each made of a copper base material. The anode mounting portion and the cathode mounting portion are electrically connected to an external anode terminal and an external cathode terminal, respectively, formed on the mounting surface of the solid electrolytic capacitor, through anode vias and cathode vias each penetrating through the epoxy resin. A part of the anode mounting portion on the substrate (6) extends to the outside of the packaging resin portion.

摘要: Upon receipt of a request to connect to an ad-hoc network from an external communication node, an address assigning unit obtains information on an IP address assigned to the external communication node. The address assigning unit determines whether the IP address is already used by any of communication nodes that are connected to the ad-hoc network based on network management information stored in a storage unit. The address assigning unit generates a new IP address that is used none of the communication nodes when the IP address is already used, and transmits the new IP address to the external communication node. The external communication node is assigned the new IP address, and connects to the ad-hoc network.
