Abstract:
A cloud-based telecommunications infrastructure may include one or more cloud-based network instances that each provide telecommunications services to mobile devices. A proxy may be used to select, based on initial communications from the mobile devices, one of the cloud-based network instances to service the mobile devices. Communications to the mobile devices may then be routed to the selected cloud-based network instances.
Abstract:
Voice calls may be filtered and/or modified to enhance the clarity of a speaker's voice. In one implementation, a device may receive an indication, from a caller associated with a call, that speech of the caller is to be modified to deemphasize an accent of the caller. The device may modify, based on the received indication, the speech of the caller to deemphasize the accent of the caller and transmit the modified speech to a callee associated with the call.
Abstract:
A method and system and may receive an information request from a user device. An establishment list may be transmitted to the user device in response to the information request, wherein the establishment list includes at least one subscribing establishment. An establishment selection may be received and an establishment option associated with the establishment selection may then be transmitted to the user device. An option selection may then be received from the user device and an establishment record may be updated in response to the selected option, wherein the user device and the subscribing establishments have a pre-existing relationship within the establishment record.
Abstract:
A system may be configured to receive information regarding a geographical location of a user device; and compare the geographical location of the user device to geographical locations of a set of gateway devices. The gateway devices may be associated with a cellular network, and the gateway devices may communicatively couple one or more network devices associated with the cellular network to an access point that is not associated with the cellular network. The system may further select a particular gateway device based on the geographical location of the user device and the geographical locations of the particular gateway device; and store or output information regarding the selected particular gateway device.
Abstract:
A device is configured to receive an authentication credential from a user device, and is configured to authenticate the user device based on the authentication credential. The device is configured to transmit, based on authenticating the user device, a first application for establishing a tunnel that permits the user device to access a second application using an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) network architecture. The device is configured to establish, based on the first application, a tunnel for transferring IMS traffic to or from the user device, and is configured to transfer the IMS traffic to or from the user device, using the tunnel, where transferring the IMS traffic permits the user device to access the second application.
Abstract:
Systems and methods provide reliable voice connections dual-connectivity environments, given limitations of available spectrum. A system includes a first wireless station and a second wireless station. The first wireless station provides a shared spectrum of a first frequency band, the shared spectrum including a first spectrum for a first cellular wireless standard and a second spectrum for a second cellular wireless standard. The second wireless station is at least partially within a coverage area of the first wireless station and provides a third spectrum for the second cellular wireless standard. The third spectrum is a millimeter wave (mmWave) spectrum. The first wireless station broadcasts a parameter barring an end device in an idle mode from camping on the second spectrum. The first wireless station or the second wireless station triggers the end device to swap to the second spectrum when a paging request for a voice call is received.
Abstract:
A method for performing service authorization for private networks based on an enhanced PLMN identifier. The method includes receiving an attach request from a user equipment device (UE) via a private network, where the attach request includes an international mobile subscriber identity value (IMSI). The method further includes determining, based on the IMSI, an organization identifier and a token associated with the private network, where the token is included in an enhanced PLMN for granting the UE access to resources in the private network. The method further includes sending the token to the UE and a network proxy within the private network.
Abstract:
A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a edge network exposure function service is provided. An edge network exposure function device may provide the edge network exposure function service. The edge network exposure function service may communicate with a radio access network, a mobile edge computing network, and a main edge network exposure function device to provide radio access network, end device, and control information. The edge network exposure function device may also facilitate handovers of an end device between mobile edge computing networks. The edge network exposure function device may be situated at the network edge and the main network exposure function device may be situated in a core network.
Abstract:
A method for endpoint device service scaling may include identifying, at a repository device, an endpoint device that is attached to a network; and determining, at the repository device, whether the endpoint device is connected to an external display. The method may include determining, at the repository device, profile data associated with the external display in response to determining that the endpoint device is connected to an external display; and identifying, at the repository device, a connection that provides network access to the endpoint device. The method may further include specifying a service based on at least one of the profile data or the identified connection.
Abstract:
A device may receive relationship information indicating a relationship between first geographic information and a network gateway. The network gateway may be associated with providing a user device with access to a network. The device may store the relationship information. The device may receive, from the user device and via a base station, second geographic information indicating a tracking area in which the user device is located. The device may identify one or more network gateways, associated with the second geographic information, based on the second geographic information and the relationship information. The device may provide, to the user device, one or more device identifiers associated with the one or more network gateways to permit the user device to access the network via the one or more network gateways. The one or more device identifiers may be provided in association with a non-access stratum message.
