Abstract:
The invention provides a method and a network node for controlling configuration of measurements to be performed by a user equipment (150a, 150b) operating in a wireless communication system (101). A configured measurement corresponds to at least one reporting criteria and the user equipment (150a, 150b) is able to support a limited number of parallel reporting criteria. Measurements to be performed by the user equipment in parallel may be requested by different network nodes such as a positioning server (140) and an eNodeB (110a, 110b). By letting a network node, such as the positioning server (140) or the (eNodeB 110a, 110b), obtain information on measurements requested by another network node the network node is able to configure the user equipment with a set of measurements that does not exceed at least one predetermined threshold for parallel reporting criteria.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a device for supporting positioning with a minimum of assistance data signalling. The method in the radio device that shall perform the positioning measurements comprises determining (440) a positioning reference signal pattern, based on a cell identity and a pre-defined mapping between the cell identity and the positioning reference signal pattern, and performing (450) positioning measurements based on the determined positioning reference signal pattern.
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods and devices for supporting configuration of a measurement gap pattern for a user equipment (91) requiring measurement gaps for performing an inter-frequency measurement. A radio network node (81) receives an indication (85) from the user equipment (91) that the user equipment (91) is going to perform an inter-frequency measurement for positioning, which inter-frequency measurement requires measurement gaps. The radio network node (81) may determine a measurement gap pattern for performing the inter-frequency measurement and may signal, to the user equipment (91), information (86) to initiate use of the determined measurement gap pattern in the user equipment (91). Alternatively the user equipment (91) configures the measurement gap pattern itself based on a set of pre-defined rules.
Abstract:
Embodiments herein relates to a radio network node (12) for controlling a handover process of a user equipment (10) from a first cell (11) to a second cell (14). The user equipment (10) is served in the first cell configured to be controlled by the radio network node. The radio network node comprises an operating circuit configured to operate according to a handover process, which handover process is triggered by a first trigger parameter when a connection to the user equipment is active, and by a second trigger parameter when the connection to the user equipment is inactive.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods and arrangements of a network node and a UE of a radio access network supporting discontinuous reception, offering a solution that is based on the idea to use more than one sub frame for transmitting paging messages when needed. An indicator in a sub frame with paging messages indicates to the receiving UE if the subsequent sub frame should be read as well.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a topical patch comprising a therapeutic compound-impermeable backing layer, a self-adhesive matrix based on polysiloxanes and containing capsaicin or a therapeutic compound analogous to capsaicin, and a protective film to be removed before use, in which the matrix contains liquid microreservoirs based on an amphiphilic solvent, in which the therapeutic compound is present in completely dissolved form and the concentration of the therapeutic compound in the microreservoir droplets is below the saturation concentration. The invention furthermore relates to a process for its production and its use in the treatment of neuropathic pain.
Abstract:
A base station (12) and a method therein for adapting a triggering threshold for cell re-selection measurements performed by a mobile terminal (20) served by a macro cell (14). The macro cell (14) is supported by the base station (12), and the base station (12) and the mobile terminal (20) are comprised in a wireless communications network (10). The base station determines a serving cell signal strength threshold to be used for triggering cell re-selection measurements by the mobile terminal (20) in dependence on the availability of small cells (18a,18b) within or neighboring the macro cell (14). The base station (12) further transmits the determined serving cell signal strength threshold to the mobile terminal (20).
Abstract:
A basic idea is to introduce an additional paging schedule for user equipment in connected mode that differs from the paging schedule used for user equipment in idle mode. Consequently, the inventive mechanism relies on distributing (S1) a notification of an upcoming change of system information in paging messages according to a first paging schedule for user equipment in idle mode, and distributing (S2) a notification of an upcoming change of system information in paging messages according to a second paging schedule for user equipment in connected mode. The second paging schedule for user equipment in connected mode is different from the first paging schedule for user equipment in idle mode. In this way, a satisfactory load distribution is achieved, at the same time as UEs in both connected and idle mode are able to receive important system information notifications.
Abstract:
The technology in this application identifies a relay cell serviced by a relay radio node in a radio access network (RAN) of a cellular communications system in which there is a radio connection between the relay radio node and a donor radio base station. The donor radio base station is identified by a RAN donor radio base station cell identifier. A RAN relay cell identifier is determined that uniquely identifies the relay cell within the RAN, the RAN relay cell identifier including a relay cell identifier and a donor base station identifier. The RAN relay cell identifier is then provided or used as needed so that the relay radio node can transmit the RAN relay cell identifier to uniquely identify the relay cell to one or more radio terminals in the RAN.

The communication network 1 comprises a first radio access technology system 2 and a second radio access technology system 3. The user equipment 4 is connected to a primary serving cell of the first radio access technology system 2 and a secondary serving cell of the second radio access technology system 3. The method comprises: performing 110 signal strength measurements in the first radio access technology system 2; performing 120 signal strength measurements in the second radio access technology system 3; determining 130, 145, 230, 240, based on the signal strength measurements, whether a criterion for a measurement event relating to the second radio access technology system 3 is fulfilled, and transmitting 150, for a fulfilled criterion, a corresponding measurement report to the communication network 1. The invention also relates to a user equipment, network node and methods in a network node.
