Abstract:
Disclosed is an underwater exploration system using a multi-joint underwater robot having a novel complex movement concept in which the multi-joint underwater robot moves through walking or swimming with multi-joint legs closely to a seafloor, differently from a conventional underwater robot to obtain a thrust through a propeller scheme. The underwater exploration system includes the multi-joint underwater robot having the complex movement function according, a depressor, and a mother ship to store data of an underwater state transmitted from the multi-joint underwater robot and to monitor and control a movement direction of the multi-joint underwater robot. The depressor is connected to the mother ship through a primary cable, the multi-joint underwater robot is connected to the depressor through a second cable, and resistance force of the primary cable is applied to the depressor without being transmitted to the multi-joint underwater robot.

A cold-adapted protease derived from Pseudoalteromonas arctica PAMC 21717 or a recombinant cold-adapted protease obtained by expressing a gene encoding the cold-adapted protease in E. coli is described, and more particularly, a crystal of a protease exhibiting activity at low temperatures, a method for crystallizing the protease, a method for preparing the protease, a recombinant microorganism that expresses the protease, a method for preparing the recombinant microorganism, a method for preparing the recombinant protease and the use of the cold-adapted protease. The cold-adapted protease exhibits high activity at low temperatures, and securely maintains its enzymatic activity even in the presence of high pH, various metal ions and surfactants. Thus, it is useful in various industrial applications.

Disclosed is a diffuser controller for tidal stream power generation, for use in a tidal stream power generator installed under water to generate electricity using a tidal stream. The diffuser controller includes: a turbine configured to be rotated by the tidal stream; a diffuser which is formed with an inlet through which a fluid flows into the diffuser and an outlet through which the fluid flows out from the diffuser, the turbine being fixed inside the diffuser and a rear foil being rotatably installed in the outlet; and a control unit configured to adjust an rotating angle of the rear foil depending on a direction or velocity of the tidal stream. The diffuser is configured to be rotatable.

The present invention relates to a Thermococcus onnurineus NA1 mutant having an increased ability to produce hydrogen from formate and a method of producing hydrogen the same. The Thermococcus onnurineus NA1 mutant according to the invention has an increased ability to produce hydrogen in a formate-containing medium compared to wild-type Thermococcus onnurineus NA1 and shows an increase in growth rate compared to the wild-type. The use of the mutant strain according to the invention can produce hydrogen with high efficiency from formate.

Proposed are a method and a mobile terminal for ship recognition for maritime perimeter monitoring. The method may include outputting a real-time camera image obtained by capturing the sea with a camera provided in the mobile terminal, and transmitting an information request including location information of the mobile terminal to a collection server that collects ship information in real-time according to the output of the real-time camera image. The method may also include receiving ship information of ships within a preset distance from a location of the mobile terminal from the collection server according to the information request, and fusing and outputting the ship information into each ship image in the output real-time camera image by using the received ship information.

An X-ray backscatter imaging system for precise searching for container hazardous cargo, includes: an X-ray generator configured to irradiate X-rays toward a search target container; and a cylinder-type scattering X-ray detection collimator configured to allow only scattering X-rays generated on a specific layer of the search target container among the X-rays irradiated from the X-ray generator to pass through, and X-rays scattering on a specific layer is measured by adjusting angles of collimators based on a layer to be measured, so that a search for hazardous cargo by layer of the container can be performed precisely.
