摘要: A stent for intracorporeal retention is inserted in a human body, for instance, inside an airway, esophagus, or bile duct, and used for preventing a bore of the internal organs described above from being occluded. With this stent, discharge from the airway does not easily adhere to, nor deposit on, the internal surface of the cylindrical body, so that the occlusion thereof can effectively be prevented and, at the same time, granulation does not easily occur and, for this reason, occlusion of the airway can be prevented, which insures a high degree of safety for a human body. This stent has a hollow cylindrical body 2 made from silicone rubber with both edges opened and the internal surface of this cylindrical body is processed in any of the following ways: (a) coating with a silicone resin, (b) adhesion of a fluorine-based resin tube, or (c) chemical deposition of polyparaxylylene or a derivative thereof and, at the same time, an external surface thereof is processed by (d) chemical deposition of polyparaxylylene or a derivative thereof or (e) by gradually rounding and tapering toward both edges with the tapered sections softer than other portions thereof.

摘要: A prosthetic device for implantation into the tracheobronchial tree in replacement of a damaged or diseased trachea and one or both bronchi is disclosed. The device comprises a bifurcated tube having a cuff or cuffs on either distal end of the arms which are to be inserted into and anastomosed with the bronchi. A central or trunk tube is connected to these lateral tubes and may also have a cuff like arrangement distally positioned thereon. The central tube is to be inserted into the trachea or what is remaining of the endothoracic trachea. The bifurcated tube structure is comprised of a molded polysiloxane-epoxide substrate having positioned depression therein within which depressions a porous fabric like mesh is partially recessed so as to completely circumvent the exterior of the tube. These cuffs are of a polyester fabric and form one or more circumferential sleeves about the tube. The particular structural arrangement gives a smooth interior surface to the implant, little tissue reactivity and excellent flex to the device coupled with an outer surface which is conducive to excellent fibroblastic ingrowth of the surrounding tissue as well as permitting ''''blooding'''' of the connection between the natural body tissue and the implant.

The lateral anchor is configured to be disposed against at least a portion of an external circumference of the stenotic lumen in a region near an opening formed in the stenotic lumen. At least two seat regions are defined between the at least two angled sides of the bridge structure and the lateral anchor. The at least two seat regions are configured to be received within and support the opening within the stenotic lumen, and the bridge structure and lateral anchor comprise a bioacceptable material.

The stent further includes a first anchor member disposed adjacent the first open end and a second anchor member disposed adjacent the second open end, the first and second anchor members each extending radially outward from the tubular body, the first and second anchor members each having an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the tubular body disposed between the first and second anchor members. A plurality of spacer members are disposed around the first open end and extending longitudinally beyond the first open end, wherein when a pulling force is applied to the spacer members, the outer diameter of the tubular body is not reduced.

摘要: In a method for producing an implant from a biocompatible silicone, a 3D mathematical model of an implant to be produced is used to create a 3D model of a casting mold for the implant as a negative. The casting mold is produced from a polymeric material through an additive manufacturing process and coated through vapor deposition of a coating material from the parylene family at least in a region that comes into contact with the biocompatible silicone to be cast. A platinum-catalyzed 2-component thermosetting silicone as the biocompatible silicone for the implant is introduced into a mold cavity of the coated casting mold, with a residence time of the implant in a patient's body of more than 29 days. The casting mold is heated to vulcanize the biocompatible silicone, and after cooling down the vulcanized implant is demolded from the casting mold.

摘要: An airway support device of the present disclosure can be attached to tracheal and/or bronchial cartilage on opposing sides of a tracheal and/or bronchial wall to pull the tracheal and/or bronchial cartilages toward each other to reconstruct and/or reshape to a normal anatomy across the membranous tracheal and/or bronchial wall and thus relieving tension across the tracheal and/or bronchial wall. The airway support device can include at least two longitudinal strips that extend longitudinally along and are attached (e.g., sutured) to the trachea and/or bronchus on opposite sides of the tracheal and/or bronchial wall. Lateral strips extending between the longitudinal strips can stretch across the tracheal and/or bronchial wall while under tension. The tracheal and/or bronchial wall can be attached (e.g., sutured) to the lateral strips to open the airway of the trachea and/or bronchus.
