摘要: The present invention relates to a method for integrating an electronic circuit in or on a medical stent. The method comprises obtaining (101) a deformable medical stent (21) in a substantially planar shape, in which the deformable medical stent is adapted for being deployed in a substantially cylindrical shape in the body. The method also comprises attaching (104) a deformable electronic circuit (22) onto the deformable medical stent in the planar shape thereby forming a deformable hybrid structure. The method also comprises shaping (107) said hybrid structure into the cylindrical shape.

摘要: Certain examples of the disclosure concern a guard member for a docking device configured to receive a prosthetic valve. The guard member can include an expandable member and an elastic member extending along an axial length of the expandable member. The expandable member can be movable between a radially compressed state and a radially expanded state. When the expandable member is in the radially compressed state, the elastic member can be in an axially stretched state. The elastic member in the axially stretched state can be configured to return to a resting state, thereby moving the expandable member from the radially compressed state to the radially expanded state.

摘要: A polymer ring configured to fit around or adjacent to an intraocular lens is described. The polymer ring comprises a hyaluronic acid derivative and a drug. An intraocular lens comprising a polymer ring positioned on or adjacent to the intraocular lens is also described. In addition, a method of delivering a drug to an eye of a subject is described. The method includes inserting an intraocular lens into the eye of the subject, and positioning polymer ring onto at least a portion of the intraocular lens, wherein the polymer ring comprises a hyaluronic acid derivative and a drug.

摘要: An implant comprises an elongate member, and anchors distributed along the elongate member. A gripper comprises a locking element that, in a locked state thereof, inhibits sliding of the elongate member through the gripper by clamping the elongate member. A tool is configured to, while (i) the elongate member extends proximally from a proximal-most of the anchors, and through the gripper, and (ii) an unlocker is positioned within the gripper in a manner that obstructs the locking element from assuming the locked state: (A) advance transluminally toward the proximal-most anchor, and (B) tension the elongate member by pulling the elongate member proximally through the gripper while the unlocker obstructs the locking element from assuming the locked state. The tool is also configured to subsequently facilitate the locking element clamping the elongate member via withdrawal of the unlocker from the gripper. Other embodiments are also described.

摘要: The invention relates to an implant for arranging and expanding in the human gastrointestinal tract for the purpose of lining a section of the gastrointestinal tract in order to prevent the resorption of supplied nourishment in said section, having a first end section (1) which, as a securing section, allows the fixation of the implant in the human stomach/gastrointestinal tract and/or to an applicator (10); a tubular section which adjoins the first end section (1), comprising a longitudinal section (2) which extends in the provided expansion direction, a transition section (3) which adjoins the longitudinal section (2), and an inverted section (4) which runs within the longitudinal section opposite the provided expansion direction; and a second end section (8). According to the invention, a region of the inverted section (4) and a region of the longitudinal section delimit a flow channel (5), via which a fluid (15) blown into the tubular section can penetrate the transition section (3) in order to exert pressure thereon, wherein the inverted section (4) radially delimits a cavity (6) and has a closure section (7) which forms the second end section (8) and axially delimits the cavity (6).

摘要: This covered stent 100, which is released from a sheath 200 and placed in a lumen in a living body, is provided with: a tubular skeleton portion 11 which is stretchable in the axial direction and is expandable in the radial direction substantially perpendicular to the axial direction; and a stretch restriction portion 2 for restricting stretching of the skeleton portion in the axial direction. 摘要: A heart valve assembly includes an inner frame comprising a graft covering housing a prosthetic heart valve. The graft covering extends around the prosthetic heart valve for providing sealing to the heart valve, an outer frame formed from a metallic material and defining a gridded configuration, and being secured to the graft covering by a plurality of stitches, and a sealing material positioned externally to the outer frame for providing sealing between the outer frame and a patient's anatomical wall to prevent paravalvular leaks. The sealing material includes a plurality of radially extending fibers that extend outwardly of the outer frame. The graft covering is made of polyester, polytetrafluoroethylene, expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, or a polymer.
