    摘要: A cooling jacket is formed at least in part within the cylinder head mounted on an engine block defining one or more piston cylinders and one or more intake and exhaust ports in communication with each piston cylinder. The cooling jacket includes a first passageway, a second passageway and a turbulence chamber. The first passageway extends from a first flow passage and intersects the turbulence chamber at a first angular position, and the second passageway extends from a second flow passage and intersects the turbulence chamber at a second angular position different from the first angular position. A swirling action is imparted to fluid media passing through the turbulence chamber.

    摘要: In a cooling system structure for a vehicular water-cooled internal combustion engine with a cylinder section and a cylinder body and a cylinder head. The cooling system structure having water jackets formed in the cylinder body and the cylinder head, respectively, with a radiator disposed forwardly of the engine main unit. A water pump performs forced circulation of coolant through the radiator and the water jackets, to permit routing of pipes with enhanced appearance. Water jackets are formed, respectively, in a cylinder body and a cylinder head such that coolant flows through the cylinder body and the cylinder head independently of each other. A thermostat is mounted on a front wall surface of a cylinder section and is capable of selecting a condition in which the water jackets directly communicate with each other or a condition in which the water jackets communicate with each other via a radiator.

Each pair of cylinder block openings include two cylinder block openings, each configured to house a piston. A cylinder head in fluid communication with the one or more pairs of cylinder block openings. A coolant manifold includes coolant flow passages, each in fluid communication with a coolant flow inlet disposed in the cylinder block between the two cylinder block openings in each pair of cylinder block openings. Fluid from each coolant flow inlet diverges into two coolant flow passages, each extending about a peripheral portion of a respective cylinder block opening. Each coolant flow passage extends from the peripheral portion of the respective cylinder block opening into one or more outlets from the engine block and into the cylinder head.

    摘要: It has been difficult to manufacturing a cylinder head having an EGR gas cooling structure which has high cooling performance and can be easily configured. A cylinder head having an EGR gas cooling structure is configured in such a manner that a gas passage which guides to the air intake port side a part of the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust port is disposed within the cylinder head water jacket to cool the exhaust gas flowing through the gas passage. The gas passage comprises a cooling section which makes contact with the coolant within the cylinder head water jacket, and also comprises a hollow pipe which has high-strength sections located at side portions of the cooling section and having higher strength than the cooling section. The high-strength sections of the gas passage are molded within and surrounded by the cylinder head.

    摘要: A water-cooled V-type engine includes a first coolant passage for supplying a liquid coolant discharged from a water pump disposed proximate a first cylinder, to a water jacket of the first cylinder. The engine also includes a second coolant passage which is branched off from the first coolant passage, and which is provided for supplying coolant to a water jacket of a second cylinder. The engine design allows for a shortened coolant hose. The water pump may include an integral fluid conduit including a branching portion where said second coolant supply passage is branched from said first coolant supply passage, and a restricted portion proximate the branching portion. A motorcycle including a vehicle body frame is also described, where the water-cooled V-type engine is operatively attached to the vehicle body frame.
