    摘要: An induction heating apparatus comprising a pair of inversely parallel-connected gate-controlled switching devices connected to an alternating current source, a resonant circuit including an induction heating coil and a variable frequency gating circuit for firing the switching devices to generate oscillations through the conducting device and the induction heating coil. The switching devices are gated into conduction in succession in a first order during the positive half cycle of the alternating current and in a reversed order during the negative half cycle. A zero crosspoint detector is provided to inhibit gating when the source voltage is near zero crosspoint level and to control the gating frequency in accordance with the instantaneous value of the source voltage to increase the turn-off time of the switching devices for lower input source voltage.

    摘要: A power supply for a magnetron which provides a microwave output and has an anode, a cathode, and a filament circuit. The magnetron has proper and improper modes of oscillation. The supply includes a step-up transformer which has a primary winding for connection to an a.c. power source and at least one secondary winding. Means, including a full wave voltage-multiplying rectifier circuit interconnected with the secondary winding and the anode-cathode circuit of the magnetron, apply a time-varying voltage across the anode-cathode circuit of said magnetron. The filament circuit of the magnetron and the anode-cathode circuit thereof are simultaneously energized; and the application of the time-varying voltage across the anode-cathode circuit insures that the magnetron goes into its proper mode of oscillation when the filament has substantially reached its operating temperature.

    摘要: A power supply for a permanent magnet type magnetron tube in which a high impedance transformer furnishes power to two halfwave, oppositely poled voltage doubler circuits in which a time delay is provided, responsive to the load current of the magnetron, to delay the turning on of one of the half-wave voltage doubler circuits to insure operation in the desired oscillating mode. Switching of the second half-wave voltage doubler into the circuit is accomplished by normally open contacts on a main relay, preferably shunted by high value resistor. In the preferred modification additional time delay is achieved by employing an auxiliary time delay relay to inhibit operation of the main relay, thereby to establish successive low power and high power modes. The filament of the magnetron is preferably fed by a separate filament transformer turned on at the same time as the high impedance transformer, but which includes means for lowering the filament voltage incident to switching to the high power mode.
