摘要: A SWIPT (simultaneous wireless information and power transfer) device based on the modulation of power supply ripple of magnetron includes a magnetron power supply, a magnetron, an IF (intermediate frequency) signal generator and a first capacitor. The first and second cathode power lines are provided between two ends of the magnetron power supply and two ends of the cathode of the magnetron respectively. One end of the first capacitor is connected with the IF signal generator, and another end of the first capacitor is connected with the first cathode power line. A SWIPT method includes applying an IF signal which is equivalent to the ripple of anode voltage of the magnetron to the anode voltage of the magnetron; taking a resonance signal excited by the magnetron as a local oscillation signal; generating a new signal at an output end of the magnetron, and radiating the new signal through an antenna.

摘要: A system and method of operating a magnetron power source can achieve a broad range of output power control by operating a magnetron with its cathode voltage lower than that needed for free running oscillations (e.g., below the Kapitsa critical voltage or equivalently below the Hartree voltage) A sufficiently strong injection-locking signal enables the output power to be coherently generated and to be controlled over a broad power range by small changes in the cathode voltage. In one embodiment, the present system and method is used for a practical, single, frequency-locked 2-magnetron system design.

摘要: The present invention relates to a modulator system adapted to generate high voltage pulses suitable for supply across a high voltage load having a thermionic cathode, such as a magnetron. The modulator system comprises a high voltage DC PSU connected to a switching mechanism adapted to generate high voltage pulses from the high voltage DC PSU for application to a thermionic cathode of a high voltage load. The modulator system further comprises an isolation transformer; a heater PSU adapted to be connected to a cathode heater through the isolation transformer and to provide an AC current thereto. The modulator system further comprises a controller to receive pulse instruction signals and trigger generation of corresponding high voltage pulses by the switching mechanism, to calculate the estimated arrival time of a next pulse instruction signal, based on the time between previous pulse instruction signals, and disable the heater PSU for a preset time, commencing before the estimated arrival time of the next pulse instruction signal, such that no current is supplied from the heater PSU while current is supplied from the high voltage PSU.

摘要: It is an object to provide a magnetron for a small-sized microwave oven which takes safety standards and a noise into consideration, in a magnetron 10 for a microwave oven, a pair of choke coils 16 and 17 are provided in a filter case 11, and a height H1 of the internal surface of the filter case 11 is set to be 35 to 45 mm, an outside diameter d3 of an air-core type inductance 25 is set to be 5.5 to 7.5 mm and a sectional area S of a high frequency absorbing member 27 is set to be 5 to 16 mm2. In the magnetron 10 for a microwave oven, an electrostatic capacity between capacitor terminals 15A and 15B and the filter case 11 is increased to be 500 to 700 pF.

摘要: A modulator for providing modulating voltages across the anode and cathode of a negatively pulsed magnetron includes a switch which, when activated, couples the modulating voltage source to the cathode terminal, a current regulator which maintains a constant current flow through the anode and cathode when the modulating voltage is applied, and a voltage control circuit that reduces an excessive time rate of voltage change across the switch caused by arcing across the anode-cathode gap. A filament power supply is provided which supplies filament current while isolating the modulating voltage at the cathode from high voltage sensitive components in the filament power supply.

摘要: A frequency control system is provided for controlling the radio frequency of a mechanically tuned coaxial magnetron under a wide variety of environmental conditions by initially tuning the magnetron according to resident tuning data and in response to a received frequency command signal, directly measuring the frequency of the magnetron output, comparing the frequency command signal with the actual frequency of each of a series of sampled output pulses, modifying a dynamically adapting calibration function according to any differences found during the comparison, retuning the magnetron according to the modified calibration function, and repeating the process to maintain the magnetron output frequency in agreement with frequency command signals. The coefficients of the calibration function converge to an optimum set of values within a few pulses. Frequency offset can be effectively corrected with the measurement of one pulse; and other frequency control characteristics, such as slope and nonlinearity, can be corrected with the measurement of but a few more at different frequencies.

摘要: The invention comprises a weather radar system in which a magnetron transmitter is controlled in frequency by injecting therein a low power locking signal from a stable frequency source. Frequency lock between the source and the magnetron is maintained without requiring injection signals of excessive power by an automatic frequency control (AFC). The AFC determines the frequency and phase error between the injection signal and the magnetron output and adjusts the frequency of the source so as always to be within a narrow band of frequencies centered about the natural frequency of the magnetron. Over the long term, therefore, the frequency of the source will vary by an amount equal to the change in the natural frequency of the magnetron occurring during that time. Over the short term, however, the difference in frequency between the injection signal and the magnetron output is zero, while the phase difference is less than 90.degree.. The frequency source controlling the magnetron also serves as a frequency source for generating the several local oscillator frequencies required by the system receiver. Thus, the pulse to pulse transmitted signals, return signals and receiver i.f. signals all possess a high degree of phase coherence, readily permitting detection and determination of the doppler frequencies contained in the return signals.

摘要: In a magnetron having a rotatable tuning member in the form of a spinner (121), a rotation sensor and an associated processor (10) generates an indication signal (11) representing the instantaneous magnetron frequency. Three level discriminators 13(1), 13(2), 13(3) are arranged to compare the indication signal (11) with respective threshold signals 14(1), 14(2), 14(3) representing different, preset frequencies. The level discriminators produce a trigger signal T effective to initiate transmission of a pulse of radiation whenever the instantaneous magnetron frequency matches one of the preset frequencies.
