    摘要: A technique for recognizing and rejecting false activation events related to a capacitance sense interface includes measuring a capacitance value of a capacitance sensor within the capacitance sense interface to generate a measured capacitance value. The measured capacitance value is analyzed to determine a baseline capacitance value for the capacitance sensor. The baseline capacitance value may be updated based at least in part upon a weighted moving average of the measured capacitance value. The measured capacitance value may also be analyzed to determine whether the capacitance sensor was activated during a startup phase and to adjust the baseline capacitance value in response to determining that the capacitance sensor was activated during the startup phase.

The device includes first and second flexible substrates, and a spacer is interposed therebetween to form a gap between the first and second flexible substrates. A first electrode layer covers an inner surface of the first flexible substrate in the gap. A plurality of second electrode layers and a plurality of third electrode layers are respectively disposed on inner and outer surfaces of the second flexible substrate and correspond to each other. Each third electrode layer is electrically connected to a corresponding second electrode layer. A sensing material layer is disposed on the outer surface of the second flexible substrate and covers the plurality of third electrode layers to form a series of sensing segments. A position determination method for the flexible slide-touch controlling device is also disclosed.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a shared electrode pattern field effect touch sensor apparatus. The apparatus includes first and second spaced electrode patterns, each having an inner electrode and an outer electrode. The inner electrode includes a primary portion defining a primary sense area and at least one secondary portion. Secondary portions of at least two patterns are adjacently disposed, and define secondary sense areas. A pulse generation circuit and a detection circuit are electrically coupled to each pattern. The presence of an object proximate a primary sense area activates one detection circuit. The presence of an object proximate a secondary sense area activates two detection circuits. A controller in communication with the detection circuits senses activation of the detection circuits. In a preferred embodiment, the apparatus is a navigational control device. A method of processing touch sensor field effect signals is also disclosed.
