摘要: The invention concerns a pneumatic control device (1) for multi-zone fire extinguishing installations, comprising a control pressure inlet port (25) for connection to a control pressure source (105), in particular a pressurised gas container, a number (m) of first control pressure outlet ports (17) for connection to a corresponding number of extinguishing agent containers (107), a number (n) of second control pressure outlet ports (19) for connection to a corresponding number of zone valves (111), and a plurality of function modules (7, 9). It is proposed that the invention further includes a quantity control module (9) for the association of a selection of the first number of control pressure outlet ports (17) with a selection of the second control pressure outlet ports (19), and an electrical control valve module (7) which is controllable from the exterior for selectively opening or closing the second control pressure inlet ports (19) and which can be connected in particular in signal-conducting relationship to a fire alarm and/or extinguishing control station (103), wherein the function modules (7, 9) are operatively connected together.

摘要: The present invention relates to a fire detection system arranged for detecting fire by detecting a pressure drop in a detection conduit (15) caused by rupture of the detection conduit (15). The system comprises a detection fluid container (13) for holding a pressurized detection fluid, the detection conduit (15) which is connected to the detection fluid container (13), and a valve assembly controlling the supply of detection fluid from the detection fluid container (13) to the detection conduit (15). The valve assembly (17) is configured to assume: i) an open operating state, in which the valve assembly (17) permits fluid communication between the detection fluid container (13) and the detection conduit (15), wherein the valve assembly (17) comprises a holding member (41 a) upon which a pressure force exerted by pressurized fluid in the detection conduit (15) acts to maintain the valve assembly (17) in the open operating position, and ii) a closed state, in which the valve assembly (17) prevents fluid communication between the detection fluid container (13) and the detection conduit (15), wherein the valve assembly (17) is arranged for switching from the open operating state to the closed state upon a reduction of the pressure force exerted on the holding member (41 a) caused by said pressure drop in the detection conduit (15), such that outflow of detection fluid is stopped. The present invention also relates to a method of controlling such as fire detection system.

摘要: A fire extinguishing system is disclosed in which the system comprises a fire extinguisher having an opening, and a valve assembly covering the opening. The valve assembly includes a valve movable from a first position in which the valve seals the opening of the fire extinguisher to a second position in which the valve exposes the opening to allow expulsion of fire suppression material(s) from the fire extinguisher. A release mechanism, which may be in the form of a solenoid or a manual release mechanism, is provided for moving the valve to its open position. Methods of using the aforementioned fire extinguisher to suppress a fire are also disclosed.

摘要: A fire protection device for small electrical devices provided with a housing. The fire protection device includes a bursting capsule featuring a hollow space that is completely enclosed and delimited by a vessel wall, wherein a liquid is disposed in the hollow space. The liquid breaks the vessel wall at a predetermined trigger temperature due to thermal expansion thereby causing the bursting capsule to rupture. When the vessel wall ruptures and releases the liquid it has a fire preventing effect and/or a fire extinguishing effect.

摘要: An actuator assembly for use in fire suppression systems for use in vehicle and industrial fire protection systems. The actuator assembly engages a cartridge of pressurized gas and releases the gas contained therein with a puncturing assembly. The actuator assembly includes a receptacle that controls the manner in which the actuator assembly and cartridge engage one another. The actuator assembly is configured for electrical and pneumatic actuation for rupturing the seal of the cartridge of pressurized gas. The actuator assembly has a housing that includes at least one inlet port that is coupled to a pressurized gas source, which is formed between a first chamber for electrical components sealed from the operative environment of the actuator assembly and a second chambers for the puncturing assembly. The actuator assembly allows for serial interconnection of multiple actuator assemblies for operation by a as single source of pressurized gas.

摘要: A fire suppression system for anechoic chambers with multiple non-retractable tubes fixed on the ceiling of the chamber, with each tube connected to a pneumatic valve. Each valve is controlled by a compressed air supply that reacts to the presence of fire in the chamber. Once fire is detected in the chamber, the valves vent the compressed air to permit fire retardant fluid to pass through the fixed tubes into the chamber. The tubes and the valves do not interfere with the functions of the chamber and provide immediate fire suppression.

摘要: According to one aspect, a fire extinguisher actuator assembly for a fire extinguisher is provided. The fire extinguisher includes a fire extinguisher reservoir and a burst disc that forms a discharge barrier between the fire extinguisher reservoir and a discharge head to retain a pressurized fire extinguishing agent within the fire extinguisher reservoir. The fire extinguisher actuator assembly includes a cutter shuttle assembly having a cutter coupled to a shuttle body. The cutter shuttle assembly is detained within the fire extinguisher proximate the burst disc and biased to form a pressure equalization region between the shuttle body and the burst disc. The fire extinguisher actuator assembly also includes an activation device having a piercing member operable to pierce the burst disc and release pressure from the pressure equalization region, thereby driving the cutter through the burst disc to release the pressurized fire extinguishing agent through the discharge head.
