Abstract: A well fracturing component has a steel body with at least one passage and a connector for connecting the body to a source of pressurized frac fluid containing particulates for injecting into a well. An epoxy-based primer layer bonds to a side wall of the passage. A siloxane topcoat layer bonds to the primer layer. The topcoat layer has a greater thickness than the primer layer. The topcoat layer has less hardness than the primer layer and loss hardness than the body.

Abstract: A method of forming a coating on a food or beverage container, which includes spraying a coating composition onto an interior surface of the food or beverage container, where the coating composition includes an emulsion-polymerized latex copolymer having copolymer chains of one or more mono-unsaturated monomers that are cross-linked with one or more multi-unsaturated monomers. Abstract: Methods and systems for providing cleaning and providing barrier coatings to interior wall surfaces of small diameter nonmetal and composite piping systems in buildings, swimming pools, underground pipes, in-slab piping systems, piping under driveways and various liquid transmission lines. An entire piping system can be cleaned in one single pass by dry particulates forced by air throughout the building piping system by an external generator, and the entire piping system can be coated in one single pass by a machine connected exterior to the piping system. Small pipes can be protected by the effects of water corrosion, erosion and electrolysis, extending the life of piping systems such as plastics, PVC (polyvinyl chloride), composite materials, polybutylene. Coatings can be applied to pipes having diameters of approximately ⅜″ up to approximately 6″ so that entire piping systems such as potable water lines, natural gas lines, HVAC piping systems, drain lines, and fire sprinkler systems in single-family homes to apartments to high-rise hotel/resort facilities and office towers, apartment and condominium buildings and schools, can be cleaned and coated to pipes within existing walls. The coating forms at least a 4 mils or greater covering inside of pipes. Buildings can return to service within approximately 24 to approximately 96 hours.

Abstract: An epoxide based composition that can be cured at a temperature of less than about 70 C is disclosed. The composition is a liquid at ambient conditions and, therefore, can be used to rehabilitate the interior surfaces of pipelines. The epoxide-based composition comprises at least one epoxide component (component A) and at least one curing agent component (component B) wherein (A) the epoxide component comprises a phenyl glycidyl ether polyepoxide; and (B) the curing agent component comprises a mixture of two salt compounds formed, respectively, from an N-alkanol piperidine and a carboxylic acid bearing 7-12 carbon atoms, and N-cyclohexyl-N,N-dialkyl amine and a carboxylic acid bearing 7-12 carbon atoms.

Abstract: A method of applying a riblet structure coating on the internal surface of a pipe includes coating the internal surface of a pipe with a resin layer and applying a cavity mold having a reverse riblet pattern structure to the coated internal surface of the pipe. A flexible air bag is inserted into the interior of the pipe and charged with air to hold the mold against the coated internal surface of the pipe. The air bag may be charged with air for a sufficient amount of time to allow the coating to cure in the riblet shape of the mold. Afterwards, the air bag and the mold are removed from the pipe to yield a pipe coated with an internal riblet structure.

Abstract: A method of lining an interior wall of a pipe is provided. Casting equipment such as a spin caster is used to centrifugally cast material onto the interior wall while the pipe is partially filled with liquid so as to form a coating on the wall above the liquid. In some embodiments the method further comprises diverting liquid from the pipe after the casting step, and then lining the wall of the pipe below the coating with material to form a continuous lining on the wall.

Abstract: A blackbody material application system for a turbine. The system includes a blackbody material supply and a moveable hose connected to the blackbody material supply wherein the hose sprays blackbody material onto a selected area within the turbine. The system also includes a rotatable bracket that holds the hose, wherein rotation of the bracket moves the hose toward the selected area within the turbine to enable application of the blackbody material onto the selected area. In addition, the system includes a motor for rotating the bracket and a moveable arm that holds the bracket wherein the bracket is inserted through an opening in the turbine and movement of the arm enables positioning of the bracket and hose in relative close proximity to the selected area suitable for spraying blackbody material onto the selected area.

Abstract: Non-conductive substrates, especially the sidewalls of micro/nano holes thereof are chemically modified (i.e., chemically grafted) by reduced graphene oxide (rGO). The rGO possesses excellent electrical conductivity and therefore the modified substrates become conductive, so that it can be directly electroplated. These rGO-grafted holes can pass thermal shock reliability test after electroplating. The rGO grafting process possesses many advantages, such as a short process time, no complex agent (i.e., no chelator), no toxic agents (i.e., formaldehyde for electroless Cu deposition). It is employed in an aqueous solution instead of an organic solvent, and therefore is environmentally friendly and beneficial for industrial production.
