Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing operations comprising: receiving a request to access a conversation interface; in response to receiving the request, retrieving a plurality of virtual conversation objects associated with the conversation interface; displaying a first virtual conversation object of the plurality of virtual conversation objects at a first location in three-dimensional space; determining that a second virtual conversation object of the plurality of virtual conversation objects is associated with an earlier timestamp than the first virtual conversation object; and in response to determining that the second virtual conversation object is associated with the earlier timestamp than the first virtual conversation object, displaying the second virtual conversation object at a second location in three-dimensional space that is closer to a user of an eyewear device than the first location.

Abstract: Disclosed is a computing system and associated methods that use changes in eye focus or the depth at which a user is looking to modify a user interface. The computing system presents a three-dimensional (“3D”) environment with different user interface (“UI”) elements that are positioned in a foreground or near plane of the 3D environment and that partially or wholly obscure a background or far plane of the 3D environment. The computing system detects a change in user eye focus from the foreground to the background by using a sensor to track changes to the pupil or the amount of light reflecting off the user's eye. The computing system produces an unobstructed view to all or part of the background by adjusting positioning, opacity, or other properties of the UI elements in the foreground in response to detecting the change in the user eye focus.

Abstract: An example computing system is configured to (i) receive a request to generate a cross-sectional view of a three-dimensional drawing file, where the cross-sectional view is based on a location of a cross-section line within the three-dimensional drawing file and includes an intersection of two meshes within the three-dimensional drawing file; (ii) generate the cross-sectional view of the three-dimensional drawing file; (iii) add, to the generated cross-sectional view, dimensioning information involving at least one of the two meshes; (iv) generate one or more controls for adjusting a location of the cross-section line within the three-dimensional drawing file; and (v) based on an input indicating a selection of the one or more controls, adjust the location of the cross-section line within the three-dimensional drawing file, update the cross-sectional view based on the adjusted location of the cross-section line, and update the dimensioning information to correspond to the updated cross-sectional view.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes rendering a first output image comprising one or more augmented-reality (AR) objects for displays of an AR rendering device of an AR system associated with a first user. The method further includes accessing sensor signals associated with the first user. The one or more sensor signals may be captured by sensors of the AR system. The method further includes detecting a change in a context of the first user with respect to a real-world environment based on the sensor signals. The method further includes rendering a second output image comprising the AR objects for the displays of the AR rendering device. One or more of the AR objects may be adapted based on the detected change in the context of the first user.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to using avatars and image data for enhanced user interactions. In some examples, user status dependent avatars are generated and displayed with a message associated with the user status. In some examples, a device captures image information to scan an object to create a 3D model of the object. The device determines an algorithm for the 3D model based on the capture image information and provides visual feedback on additional image data that is needed for the algorithm to build the 3D model. In some examples, an application's operation on a device is restricted based on whether an authorized user is identified as using the device based on captured image data.
