摘要: A transmission apparatus includes a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation signal generators, which generate a first OFDM modulation signal and a second OFDM modulation signal. The transmission apparatus also includes a transmitter that transmits the first OFDM modulation signal from a first antenna and the second OFDM modulation signal from a second antenna, in an identical frequency band. A reception apparatus is provided, which includes a plurality of antennas that receive a plurality of OFDM modulation signals; a plurality of OFDM demodulators that transform the plurality of OFDM modulation signals to a plurality of reception signals using Fourier transform; an estimator that outputs a distortion estimation signal using one or more symbols for demodulation included in the plurality of reception signals; and a demodulator that compensates for distortion of the reception signals using the distortion estimation signal and demodulates a data symbol included in the reception signals.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an OFDM-based data transmission method and an apparatus. In one example method, a transmitting device generates a data packet. The data packet comprises at least one orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol. The OFDM symbol comprises N sequentially numbered subcarriers. The N subcarriers are divided into L subblocks. Each subblock of the L subblocks comprises └N/L┘ subcarriers including M pilot subcarriers. Start subcarriers of adjacent subblocks are adjacently numbered subcarriers. A numbering interval is the same for adjacent subcarriers in each subblock of the L subblocks. Each subblock of the L subblocks corresponds to one phase rotation signal. Signals carried on the subcarriers in each subblock of the L subblocks are signals obtained by multiplying original signals by a corresponding phase rotation signal. The transmitting device sends the data packet.

摘要: An exemplary decoder is provided for decoding a signal received through a transmission channel in a communication system. The exemplary decoder comprises a transformation unit configured to determine a set of auxiliary channel matrices, each auxiliary channel matrix being determined by performing a linear combination of at least one of the column vectors of the channel matrix; a decomposition unit configured to determine a decomposition of each auxiliary channel matrix into an upper triangular matrix and an orthogonal matrix; a matrix selection unit configured to select at least one auxiliary channel matrix among the set of auxiliary channel matrices depending on a selection criterion related to the components of the upper triangular matrices. The decoder determines at least one estimate of vector of information symbols from an auxiliary signal and from the upper triangular matrix corresponding to a selected auxiliary channel matrix by applying a decoding algorithm.

摘要: A radio receiver, configured to use an impulse UWB, includes: a reception antenna which receives the impulse UWB, a reception unit which amplifies the received impulse UWB and detects an envelope of the impulse UWB, maximum-peak and minimum-peak detection units which detect a maximum value and minimum value of the envelope, respectively, a comparator which acquires signal data from the envelope with an initial threshold value, a baseband unit which measures an error rate of the signal data, an MPU which calculates a correction value based on the error rate, and an arithmetic unit which calculates a corrected threshold value based on the maximum, minimum and correction values. The arithmetic unit transmits the corrected threshold value to the comparator. The comparator acquires the signal data from the envelope based on the corrected threshold value transmitted from the arithmetic unit.

摘要: A digital television (DTV) receiving system includes an information detector, a resampler, a timing recovery unit, and a carrier recovery unit. The information detector detects a known data sequence which is periodically inserted in a digital television (DTV) signal received from a DTV transmitting system. The resampler resamples the DTV signal at a predetermined resampling rate. The timing recovery unit performs timing recovery on the DTV signal by detecting a timing error from the resampled DTV signal using the detected known data sequence. The carrier recovery unit performs carrier recovery on the resampled DTV signal by estimating a frequency offset value of the resampled DTV signal using the detected known data sequence.
