Subscriber calls initiate forward messages over all possible groups of communication lines to search for the called party at every exchange. Each exchange includes a terminal module which is callable and capable of calling like a subscriber and which stores data about traffic and the exchange operation, and an external interface. A portable operating station can connect to the interface at any exchange of the network and call every terminal module over the communication lines to determine the network topology and condition.

    摘要: The invention relates to a polarization scrambler comprising a controllable optical phase retardation element for retarding with respect to one another components of a light beam with a different state of polarization, the light beam propagating through the element, and a control arrangement for controlling the phase retardation element, said control arrangement being adapted to supply a control signal so that as a function of time the phase retardation is controlled in such a way that with a given state of polarization (SOP) of the light entering the polarization scrambler varying states of polarization occur at its output in such a way that, averaged in time, the light intensities emerging in each SOP are at least substantially equal. An arrangement suitable for arbitrary input states of polarization is obtained when at least a further controllable phase retardation element (2, 3) connected to a control arrangement and succeeding the first element in the light propagation direction is provided which, represented on the Poincare sphere, creates states of polarization in accordance with a rotational axis which is different from that associated with the first phase retardation element and in that the phase retardation elements (1, 2, 3 ) are controlled by the control arrangement at different frequencies (f.sub.1, f.sub.2, f.sub.3) or in an uncorrelated aperiodical manner.

    摘要: For the testing of an integrated monolithic circuit (IC) the integrated monolithic circuit with a test bus which extends along a functional part of the circuit which is partitioned into macro circuits and which is coupled to the macro circuits, each macro circuit comprising a test interface circuit which is connected in series with test interface circuits of the other macro circuits; via the test interface circuits, the macro circuits can be coupled to the test bus. As a result, macro circuits can be separately tested and in the case of a hierarchic design of integrated circuits, utilizing previously designed marco circuits and test programs for previously designed macro circuits, test development times can be substantially reduced; this is an increasingly important aspect of increasingly complex circuits.

Thus, the magnification of the image is not uniform in the direction of deformation. The transmitted image has either at least two parts each representing a different magnification, or a progressive deformation in the direction of the deformation.
