The reference function has a constant-input-output region over a predetermined voltage range. The reference function is updated based on battery status of the electric storage device.

Abstract: An optical fiber ribbon is configured by arranging in parallel and coupling a plurality of single-core optical fibers. The optical fibers adjacent to each other are intermittently bonded by coupling parts at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon. The coupling parts adjacent to each other in the width direction are disposed to be displaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon. In the optical fiber ribbon, the adjacent optical fibers are intermittently coupled by the coupling parts in the longitudinal direction, and the amounts of resin of the coupling parts are not uniform in the longitudinal direction of the optical fibers. Moreover, the Young's modulus of resin constituting the coupling part is preferably 130 MPa or less, and more preferably 80 MPa or less.

Abstract: A rechargeable battery short-circuit early detection device that detects a short-circuit in a rechargeable battery includes one or more processors connected to a current sensor that detects a charging current of the rechargeable battery, wherein the one or more processors are programmed to: while the rechargeable battery is being charged, receive a current signal indicating the charging current from the current sensor; detect a temporal change in the charging current indicated by the current signal; determine, when the charging current increases over time, that there is a possibility that the rechargeable battery has short-circuited; and output data indicating a determined result.

The optical semiconductor device further includes an electric-field-distribution-control layer positioned between the separate confinement heterostructure layer and the n-type cladding layer and configured by at least two semiconductor layers having band gap energy greater than band gap energy of a barrier layer constituting the quantum well active layer. The optical semiconductor device is applied to a ridge-stripe type laser.

Abstract: In a transmission path transmitting high-frequency signals each signal contains a frequency component of over 8 GHz. The transmission path includes a nickel-phosphorus layer containing nickel and phosphorus, and a phosphorus concentration of the nickel-phosphorus layer is over 0 mass % and less than 8 mass %. Such a structure enables the transmission path to have little loss even when a signal at a frequency of over 8 GHz is transmitted.
