Abstract:
According to one aspect of the present invention, the present invention provides an optical communication system, including: racks mounting many optical communication boards having optical modules thereon, and supplying system power to the mounted optical communication boards; a remote control line supplying a power supplying control signal to the optical communication boards mounted on the optional racks; optical communication boards receiving the system power by being mounted on the racks, and selectively supplying the supplied system power to the optical modules according to the power supplying control signal supplied through the remote control line; and a remote controller preventing the system power from being supplied to the optical modules when the optical communication boards are mounted on the racks while the system power is applied to the racks, and outputting the power to the corresponding optical modules through the remote control line in order to supply the power to the corresponding optical modules when the system power is stable at predetermined level by being applied to the optical communication boards. Therefore, it can prevent the optical modules from being damaged by the system power when the optical communication boards are mounted on the optical communication system.
Abstract:
A method for measuring a steering angle of a steering shaft for a vehicle uses a first rotatable body that rotates together with the steering shaft at an r1 ratio and a second rotatable body that rotates together with the steering shaft at an r2 ratio. An absolute rotational angle of the first rotatable body, Ψ, can be expressed as Ψ′+iΩ, and an absolute rotational angle of the second rotatable body, θ, can be expressed as θ′+iΩ. Ψ′ and θ′ are measured using an angle sensor having a measurement range of Ω. To obtain the steering angle Φ of the steering shaft, measurement values ΨM′ and for θM′ of Ψ′ and θ′ are obtained. A plurality of θ's corresponding to the ΨM′ value are calculated from a relation between Ψ′ and θ′ to yield a θC′. By comparing the θM′ to the θC′, an i-value of the first rotatable body is obtained. The obtained i-value is then used to obtain an absolute rotational angle Ψ of the first rotatable body. Finally, from a relation between Ψ and θ, the steering angle Φ of the steering shaft is obtained.

Abstract:
A forward osmosis membrane for seawater desalination and a method for preparing the same. The forward osmosis membrane has a composite membrane structure including a nonwoven fabric layer, a hydrophilic polymer layer, and a polyamide layer. The hydrophilic polymer layer formed on the nonwoven fabric layer facilitates an inflow of water from the feed water to the draw solution to enhance flux and realize high water permeability in the direction of osmosis. The polyamide layer not only secures contamination resistance and chemical resistance but also minimizes the back diffusion of salts of the draw solution in the direction of reverse osmosis. Hence, the forward osmosis membrane of the present invention is greatly useful for desalination of high-concentration seawater.
