A shielding assembly includes a frame including a main body, the main body defining at least one retaining hole; and a cover including a main board, the main panel including retaining elements and rims. The number of the retaining elements is the same as the number of the retaining holes, each rim protruding outwardly from a distal end of one of retaining elements. Each retaining element passes through one of the retaining holes, and each rim is latched with the portions of the frame surrounding the retaining holes.
Abstract:
A battery connector includes a male connector and a female connector interconnecting a male and a female printed circuit boards. The male connector includes a male housing, a plurality of male terminals molded in the male housing and a male shielding shell mounted on the male housing. A bottom of the male housing protrudes downward to form an insertion portion. The female connector includes a female housing, a plurality of female terminals and a female shielding shell mounted under the female housing. The female housing defines a plurality of openings, and an insertion groove for receiving the insertion portion therein. Each female terminal has a female contact portion molded in the female housing and further exposed out from the opening. Each male terminal has a male contact portion projected beyond a front of the male housing for being pressed into the opening to contact with the female contact portion.

A punch module includes a fixing plate, a clamping member, an engaging member, a number of latching members, and a punch. The fixing plate defines an assembly space. The clamping member detachably fixed to the fixing plate and received in the assembly space of the fixing plate defines a first receiving space. The engaging member received in the first receiving space of the clamping member defines a second receiving space. The latching members are movably received in the first receiving space of the clamping member and the second receiving space of the engaging member. The punch extends through the clamping member, the engaging member, and the fixing plate, and defines a latching slot engagable with the latching members.

In one embodiment, the asymmetrical power converter includes (1) an isolation transformer having series-coupled first and second primary windings providing differing turns ratios therefrom, (2) a first power switch and a first input capacitor series-coupled to the first primary winding to form a first circulation path between the isolation transformer and an input of the asymmetrical power converter and (3) a second power switch and a second input capacitor series-coupled to the second primary winding to form a second circulation path between the isolation transformer and the input.

An electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter, method of manufacturing therefor and power converter employing the EMI filter. In one embodiment, the EMI filter includes (1) a filter circuit board located outside a chassis and having an aperture that receives therethrough a bus bar extending from within the chassis, (2) a capacitor, mounted on the filter circuit board and coupled to the bus bar, that receives from the bus bar at least a portion of EMI induced into the bus bar from within the chassis and (3) a conductor, mounted on the filter circuit board and coupled between the capacitor and the chassis, that receives the portion from the capacitor and returns the portion to ground via the chassis.

For use with a power converter coupled to a regulation circuit and having a power switch and an auxiliary switch coupled thereto, a controller, method of operating the power switch and auxiliary switch and a power converter employing the controller and method. In one embodiment, the controller includes a voltage conditioning network, parallel-coupled to the power switch, capable of sensing a voltage across the power switch and developing a conditioned voltage. The controller further includes a drive circuit, coupled to the voltage conditioning network, adapted to provide a drive signal to control the auxiliary switch as a function of the conditioned voltage and a regulation control signal from the regulation circuit.

For use with a protection circuit having an in-rush current control element that controls in-rush current into a power converter, a control circuit, a method of controlling the in-rush current control element and a power supply employing the control circuit and method are provided. In one embodiment, the control circuit includes: (1) a sensor, coupled to the in-rush current control element, that senses an in-rush current through the in-rush current control element and produces an intermediate signal and (2) a controller, coupled to the sensor and the in-rush current control element, that controls the in-rush current control element to limit the in-rush current when the intermediate signal exceeds a first reference current signal and to substantially interrupt the in-rush current when the intermediate signal exceeds a second reference current signal.
