    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a guided bite splint for a supporting jaw comprising at least one guide for an opposing jaw. A 3D model of an upper jaw and/or a 3D model of a lower jaw are available, wherein the 3D models of the upper jaw and the lower jaw are arranged relative to one another in an occlusal position and integrated into a virtual articulator model which simulates an articulation movement of the lower jaw relative to the upper jaw, wherein a 3D model of the bite splint is constructed using the 3D model of the upper jaw and/or the 3D model of the lower jaw, wherein the at least one guide for the opposing jaw is constructed automatically on the 3D model of the bite splint with the aid of a computer.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for generating a panoramic layer image (1, 2) of an object (3) to be imaged, by employing a 2D panoramic X-ray device, wherein the object is imaged by projecting X-rays (6) generated by an X-ray source (7) through the object (3) in a projection direction (8) and recording said X-rays (6) with an X-ray detector (9), wherein several 2D X-ray projection images are continuously recorded from various imaging directions while the X-ray source (7) and the X-ray detector (9) move around the object (3), wherein at least one panoramic layer image (1, 2) is calculated from the recorded 2D X-ray projection images by means of a reconstruction method.     Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a two-dimensional whole image of a recording region captured by means of a plurality of individual images, each having its own viewing direction and its own distance, wherein a spatial orientation of a main image plane of each individual image relative to a main image plane of the respective further individual image is determined on the basis of an overlap of the respectively captured subregions, and at least a plurality of the individual images are combined in accordance with the spatial orientations to form the whole image. The whole image area is the surface of a torus.
