Abstract:
There is provided a chain guide that reduces a space occupied by the chain guide in an engine room while maintaining required strength, rigidity, and durability with a simple configuration, reduces the number of manufacturing steps and the waste of a material, does not require a structure that permits an error, prevents increases in vibration and noise during use, and reduces the burden of a maintenance operation. The chain guide has a guide shoe and a base member that reinforces the guide shoe, and an attachment portion includes an attachment member that is provided separately from the guide shoe and the base member and can be fixed to at least one of the guide shoe and the base member or both of the guide shoe and the base member.
Abstract:
To provide a chain tensioner that has a simple structure, is universally usable and capable of supplying sufficient and necessary oil when restarted after a long time after the stop of oil supply, and enables reduction of its length and size. Urging unit 140 provided in an oil pressure chamber 101 to be extendable and contractible urges a plunger 120 outward from a plunger bore 111 in a tensioner body 110 of the chain tensioner 100. A connection groove 122 is formed in the outer circumference of the plunger 120 to form a supply chamber 102. An oil reservoir chamber 123 is formed inside the plunger 120. A leak groove 125 is formed in the outer circumference of the plunger 120 on the side of the oil pressure chamber 101 such as to extend into the supply chamber 102.
Abstract:
A transmission chain is composed of pairs of outer plates and pairs of inner plates. The plates of each pair are in opposed, spaced relation to each other. The pairs of inner plates and the pairs of outer plates are disposed in alternating, overlapping, relationship along the length of the chain, with each pair of inner plates extending in a first direction into a space between one pair of outer plates, and in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, into a space between another pair of outer plates. Connecting pins connect the alternating pairs of plates in articulating relationship. Each of the connecting pins is press-fit into holes in a pair of inner plates and fits rotatably in holes in a pair of outer plates. A guide extends into a space between the outer plates, guiding the chain by engagement with inwardly facing surfaces of the outer plates.
Abstract:
In a transmission chain including alternately interleaved and articulably connected sets of link plates, the link plates of least one of the sets have back surfaces arranged for sliding contact with a chain guide. These back surfaces have a convex, substantially arc-shaped, curvature in the longitudinal direction of the chain, and a convex, substantially arc-shaped, curvature in the widthwise direction. The radius of curvature of the widthwise curve of the back surface of each of the link plates of the at least one set is at least as great as the radius of curvature of the curve of the same link plate in the longitudinal direction.
Abstract:
A protective guide internally holds long members including at least one of flexible cables and ducts. The protective guide includes a flexible curved strip-shaped base and plural flexible sectioning members. The base is made of a synthetic resin, formed into a long plate and has a longitudinal direction. The sectioning members are also made of a synthetic resin, permitted to uprise from both ends of the base and spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction, the both ends being opposed to each other in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The sectioning members cooperatively define a space for accommodating the long members along the base. The base has a cross section inwardly curved toward the space, as viewed in the longitudinal direction. Each sectioning member has a ceiling opposed to the base, the ceiling being divided into two portions in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
Abstract:
By press-fitting a cylindrical blank into a die with one of a pair of punches, and at the same time press-fitting small diameter end portions and tapered portions of the pair of punches into both ends of the cylindrical blank while restraining both end surfaces of the blank with cylindrical members movable on the outsides of the punches, the external circumferential surface of the blank is finish molded to the required diameter by the internal circumferential surface of the die and, at the same time, tapered surfaces are formed on the inner circumferential surface in both ends of the blank. The process produces a bushing with its internal surfaces accurately coaxial, and with the external surface accurately formed to the required diameter.
Abstract:
A tensioner has a substantially U-shaped stopper pin hooked at opposite end parts on a tensioner body and part of a plunger, respectively, to keep the plunger in a retracted position against the force of a spring before the tensioner is mounted to an engine body at an appropriate position relative to a power transmitting chain.
Abstract:
A follow-up control device comprising a pneumatic cylinder connected in series or parallel with a hydraulic cylinder for controlling the movement of a load device relative to a further device, such as for transferring an article or commodity from a load device onto the hanger of a movable conveyor. The pneumatic cylinder functions as the power source for moving the load device, and the hydraulic cylinder functions as a speed control for controlling the speed of movement of the load device. The hydraulic cylinder is coupled with a substantially closed hydraulic circuit for controlling the movement of the load.
Abstract:
An automatic chain cutting machine which divides a chain made in a longer length into chains having a required number of links. The machine includes a chain guiding means which guides a longlength chain to the working portion of the press, a means for feeding the chain and a pressing machine which pushes out a connecting pin from the chain. The chain feeding means incorporates a sprocket for feeding a chain and a means that gives a signal at each time a certain even number of teeth on said sprocket rotatively move, which are designed in such a mechanism as to stop the sprocket when the number of signals thus given reaches the predetermined one, thereby holding the portion of the chain at which it should be separated at a predetermined working position so that the press punch may push out the connecting pin from the portion to be separated in order to thus enable an automatic production of a chain with a required number of links.
