Abstract:
A throttle valve actuating system in an electronic control fuel injection system for a spark ignition internal combustion engine which controls air flow rate as a function of fuel flow rate, wherein a throttle valve is made to be able to be opened and closed by a throttle actuator and pneumatic actuator in order to reduce the electric power consumption and to avoid the actuation delay with the variations of the operating conditions and environmental conditions. The throttle valve is operated by such a separate actuating power source as a step motor or the like without directly connecting the throttle valve to an accelerator pedal.
Abstract:
A fuel supplying device for an internal combustion engine having a fuel supply passage (4) for introducing fuel fed from a fuel pump (2) at a substantially constant pressure to a fuel injector (9) operative at a predetermined constant pressure. The fuel injector is installed at a congregated portion (7) of engine intake manifolds (8). A metering valve (11) includes a motor (13) so that drop is maintained substantially constant by a differential regulator (12). The metering valve is disposed in an intermediate portion of the fuel supply passage. Calculating means (15) including a servo signal generator (18) calculates an injection flow amount causing a predetermined air/fuel ratio on the basis of signals of various engine running factors. An operational signal output from the servo signal generating circuit of the calculating means is applied to the drive motor means for driving said metering valve to thereby inject fuel into the intake manifolds.
Abstract:
Process for producing a completely random copolymer of a conjugated diene and a monovinyl substituted aromatic compound having the same composition as that of the starting monomeric mixture which comprises copolymerizing a conjugated diene and a monovinyl substituted aromatic compound in the presence of lithium catalyst in a polymerization medium at a temperature not higher than 150.degree. C and at which the resulting copolymer is substantially phase-separated, said temperature being dependent upon the type of medium, and type, composition and concentration of the monomer used.

An image processing apparatus includes circuitry that converts user voices that are input into a string of characters reflecting a statement made with the user voices, retrieves one or more items of information related to the string, stores the information being retrieved associated with identification information indicating a retrieval time when the information is retrieved, draws a graphical image including the information being stored on a projection target image to be projected by a projector, and controls the projector to project the projection target image including the graphical image, the graphical image having a size that is determined in accordance with the identification information associated with the information included in the graphical image being projected.
Abstract:
A multi-layered information recording medium including a plurality of recording layers, the multi-layered information recording medium comprising: a user data area for recording user data; and a plurality of spare areas including at least one replacement region, wherein when the user data area includes at least one defect region, the at least one replacement region may be used in place of the at least one defect region, wherein a first spare area of the plurality of spare areas is positioned so as to be contiguous to a first user data area of a first recording layer, a second spare area of the plurality of spare areas is positioned so as to be contiguous to a second user data area of a second recording layer, and the first spare area and the second spare area are positioned approximately at the same radial position on the multi-layered information recording medium.
Abstract:
An optical disk and a method for identifying the optical disk making it possible to identify a recording system of the optical disk easily in a short time by a recording and reproduction apparatus when a groove-recording system and a land-recording system are both employed in one kind of optical disk, such as, for example, a BD-R. Specifically, a polarity upon reproducing wobble information is made to be the same in both an optical disk of groove-recording system and the optical disk of a land-recording system. The recording system of the optical disk that shows the same wobble polarity irrespective of the recording system can be easily detected by finding a tracking polarity that can recognize the wobble information by changing the tracking polarity, whereby the start-up time of the recording and reproduction apparatus can be shortened.
Abstract:
An optical disk 101 in which information is recorded on a groove track, and an optical disk 107 in which information is recorded on a land track. The optical disk 101 has a control data area 102, and a data recording area 103 in which user data is recorded. The optical disk 107 has a control data area 108, and a data recording area 109 in which user data is recorded. A code for indicating the groove track or the land track onto which a tracking servo control is to be executed is provided both in the control data area 102 of the optical disk 101, and in the control data area 108 of the optical disk 107.
