Abstract:
An editing tool that provides a user interface for displaying and editing a representation of a microcircuit design. More particularly, the user interface displays a three dimensional representation of a second portion of the circuit design. A user can then select and edit a structure employing the three-dimensional representation of the structure in the user interface.

A folder-type cell phone including a first body and a second body is provided. The housing of the first body is composed of a case and a cover. The second body is connected with the first body by using a hinge structure. The hinge structure includes a shaft, a flexible printed circuit (FPC), a holder, and a bearing. The shaft is formed at an edge of the second body and has a first opening and a second opening at both ends of the shaft. The FPC is arranged in the shaft and has a first end extending toward the second body and a second end passing through the first opening for electrically connecting with the first body. The holder is assembled in the first opening with partially protruding from the shaft for holding the FPC. The hinge is assembled in the second opening with partially protruding from the shaft. Two cylindrical concaves facing upward are formed on a bottom of the case for support the protruding portions of the bearing and the holder so as to pivotally connect the second body with the first body.
Abstract:
A micro fluorescent electrophoresis (EP) detection system for detecting fluorescent EP is disclosed. The size of the system is greatly minimized for carrying. The invention uses a laser diode with a cylindrical lens to perform light source detection. A probe is provided to receive excited light produced by the probed object and to convert it into an electronic signal for detection. This does not only lower the cost, but also largely reduce its size for the patient's convenience of carrying and self-testing.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a biochip detection system for detecting a biochip labeled with multiple fluorophores. The biochip detection system comprises a broadband light source for generating a light beam, a stand for supporting the biochip, a light integrator positioned between the broadband light source and the biochip, a lens set for adjusting the cross-sectional area of the light beam, a first filter module positioned on the optical path of the light beam, a detector, e.g., CCD camera, photodiode array, for detecting a fluorescence beam emitted from the biochip, and a second filter module positioned on the optical path of the fluorescence beam. The light integrator can be a light tunnel, a lens array or a holographic diffuser for uniforming the intensity distribution of the light beam and changing the cross-sectional shape of the light beam into a rectangle.
Abstract:
A desktop computer comprises a base, a front housing, a display panel, a computer motherboard, and a rear housing. The front housing has a front end facing a user, a rear end, an upper end, a lower end, and further has a recess with an opening facing the rear end. The bottom side of the recess is positioned on the back of the front end of the front housing. The display panel is vertically mounted in the front end of the front housing, and the computer motherboard is vertically mounted on the bottom side of the front housing recess and electrically connected with display panel. The rear housing is mounted on the rear end of the front housing for covering the recess on the rear end of the front housing.
Abstract:
A retention mechanism comprises a post and a movable arm slidingly secured to the post. The post includes a plurality of serrations formed along an elongated side thereof. The movable arm includes a canister adapted to enclose and latch with the serrations of the post, and a securing portion extending from the canister for securing an upper edge of an edge card. The canister forms a pair of stoppers in two opposite holes defined in an outside wall thereof. Each stopper includes a lever and two ribs supporting the lever in the sidewall of the canister. Each lever forms an inwardly extending protrusion thereon. When lower ends of the levers are pushed inwardly toward each other, the levers pivot about the ribs and the protrusions move outwards from the serrations of the post, allowing the movable arm to slide along the elongated side of the post. When the movable arm reaches a desired height corresponding to the height of the upper edge of the edge card, the lower ends of the levers are released, allowing the protrusions to move inwardly to latch with the serrations, thereby securing the edge card in place.
Abstract:
A ZIF connector comprises an insulative housing, a plurality of terminals received in the housing, an insulative cover plate curvedly slidably mounted on the housing having a pressing plate for pressing an FPC against the terminals, an actuation mechanism for curvedly slidably connecting the cover plate and the housing and two locking mechanisms for securely locking the cover plate to the housing. The housing comprises a pair of standing walls at both ends thereof. The cover plate comprises a pair of arms formed at opposite ends thereof. The actuation mechanism comprises a pair of arcuate channels defined in the two standing walls and a pair of corresponding arcuate ribs formed on opposite arms of the cover plate and slidingly moveable in the arcuate channels when the cover plate is curvedly slidably moved relative to the housing.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an apparatus for advancing the leading edge of a corrugated web for positioning the web for a secondary operation, such as a cutting operation to cut a discrete sheet from the web. The web has a plurality of alternating peaks and valleys. The apparatus comprises an endless loop conveyor including a plurality of spaced support bars for contacting the valleys of the web. At least one vacuum source holds the web against the support bars. A motor and a distributed control system repeatedly advance the conveyor and the leading edge of the web from the entrance end to the exit end of the conveyor. A rotary encoder and a sensor sense the presence of a support bar near the position for applying the cutting operation. The vacuum source is de-activated, and at least one pressure source is activated to remove the cut sheet from the support bars. The de-activation of the vacuum source and the activation of the pressure source are done progressively from one end of the conveyor to the other to progressively remove the cut sheet from the conveyor.
Abstract:
A take-off apparatus and method for unmanned aerial vehicle without landing gear includes an unmanned aerial vehicle, a carrier, a lock/release mechanism, a lift or airspeed sensing module, a signal processing module and a release motion sensing module. The lock/release mechanism locks the unmanned aerial vehicle onto the carrier and controllably releases the unmanned aerial vehicle from the carrier. The lift or airspeed sensing module senses an overall lift or airspeed of the unmanned aerial vehicle. When the lift or speed value of the unmanned aerial vehicle is greater than a predetermined threshold, it drives the lock/release mechanism into an unlocked state so that the unmanned aerial vehicle is released from the carrier and takes off more accurately and successfully.
