Abstract:
A fluid jet cutting process for fibrous materials, such as inorganic fibrous material articles is provided. A fluid composition for use in the fluid jet cutting process is also provided. The cutting fluid composition contains a carrier fluid and coating composition for the cut surfaces of the fibrous material. An apparatus for carrying out the fluid jet cutting process of fibrous materials is also provided.
Abstract:
The method may include creating a marketing campaign, selecting a list to receive the marketing campaign, allowing the user to modify the list selected, allowing the user to add a work item to the marketing campaign and executing the marketing campaign.
Abstract:
The disclosure is directed to an improved deep needle driver for use when working on patients having significant tissue thicknesses, where conventional instruments are too short or do not provide suitable maneuverability within deep tissue. The driver includes a pair arms bent at two positions, where the arms are pivotally joined to form a movable jaw.
Abstract:
A device for treatment of exhaust gases includes a housing, a fragile structure resiliently mounted within the housing, and a non-intumescent mounting mat disposed in a gap between the housing and the fragile structure. The mounting mat includes a plurality of inorganic fibers that have undergone a surface treatment to increase the holding force performance of the mounting mat. Also disclosed are methods of making a mounting mat for an exhaust gas treatment device and for making an exhaust gas treatment device incorporating the mounting mat.
Abstract:
A configurable access network (CAN) architecture is used to identify primary routing paths that allows each wireless station within a static, multi-hop wireless CAN to route packetized data in a way that simplifies the operation of each station and makes more efficient use of the limited energy available to each station.
Abstract:
Improved methods of forming a patterned self-assembled monolayer on a surface and derivative articles are provided. According to one method, an elastomeric stamp is deformed during and/or prior to using the stamp to print a self-assembled molecular monolayer on a surface. According to another method, during monolayer printing the surface is contacted with a liquid that is immiscible with the molecular monolayer-forming species to effect controlled reactive spreading of the monolayer on the surface. Methods of printing self-assembled molecular monolayers on nonplanar surfaces and derivative articles are provided, as are methods of etching surfaces patterned with self-assembled monolayers, including methods of etching silicon. Optical elements including flexible diffraction gratings, mirrors, and lenses are provided, as are methods for forming optical devices and other articles using lithographic molding. A method for controlling the shape of a liquid on the surface of an article is provided, involving applying the liquid to a self-assembled monolayer on the surface, and controlling the electrical potential of the surface.

Abstract:
An illustrated view of an exemplary nail clipping stand apparatus for those unable to clip their toes normally is presented. The nail clipping stand is useful for providing an apparatus that can allow for those with disabilities, are of an older age, or just unable to normally reach their toes to clip their toenails without seeking aid from others. The nail clipping stand is useful for providing a user with a feeling of independence, increased self-esteem and satisfaction without the need to rely on others. Further, the nail clipping stand is useful for not only helping to keep the health of the user's toenails but also to provide an apparatus that makes clean up and finding of the clipped toenails easy, efficient and timely.
Abstract:
A technique for tracking conversion of an online offer includes tracking online and/or offline transactions. A customer accepts an offer provided by a merchant and submits his or her account information so that he or she may receive a reward for satisfying criteria associated with the offer. Transactions of the merchant are then monitored at the payment processor level to determine whether the customer satisfies the purchase criteria. Therefore, online and offline conversion can both be tracked. Further, the merchant is able to determine the overall effectiveness of advertising campaigns by analyzing the number of offers that are both accepted and satisfied.
