    Abstract: A technique for tracking conversion of an online offer includes tracking online and/or offline transactions. A customer accepts an offer provided by a merchant and submits his or her account information so that he or she may receive a reward for satisfying criteria associated with the offer. Transactions of the merchant are then monitored at the payment processor level to determine whether the customer satisfies the purchase criteria. Therefore, online and offline conversion can both be tracked. Further, the merchant is able to determine the overall effectiveness of advertising campaigns by analyzing the number of offers that are both accepted and satisfied.

    Abstract: A computer system records a plurality of cases. Each case is used with a software system. The version of the software system is the same for each case. Each case includes a set of input data. Each case includes an identification of a parent case from which input data in the case was copied unless the case is an original case. The identification of the parent case creates a parent/child relationship between the case and the parent case. The computer system creates a hierarchy of the parent/child relationships among the plurality of cases. The computer system displays a subset of the plurality of cases in response to a search of the plurality of cases. A smaller subset of the plurality of cases is selected as a chosen model for an environment in which an activity is to be performed.

    Abstract: A network protocol unit interface is described that uses a message engine to transfer contents of received network protocol units in message segments to a destination message engine. The network protocol unit interface uses a message engine to receive messages whose content is to be transmitted in network protocol units. A message engine transmits message segments to a destination message engine without the message engine transmitter and receiver sharing memory space. In addition, the transmitter message engine can transmit message segments to a receiver message engine by use of a virtual address associated with the receiver message and a queue identifier, as opposed to a memory address.
