Abstract: A user equipment is configured to connect to a base station (BS) over a shared channel subject to channel access operations. The UE receives a first configuration for a BS-initiated fixed frame period (FFP) (BS-FFP) and a second configuration for a UE-initiated FFP (UE-FFP), determines that no downlink (DL) transmissions are detected during a predefined time of the BS-FFP and determines that at least one condition associated with an uplink (UL) transmission is satisfied. When no downlink (DL) transmissions are detected during the predefined time of the BS-FFP and the at least one condition is satisfied, the UE performs a UE-initiated channel access operation. When the UE-initiated channel access operation is successful, the UE performs the UL transmission during the UE-FFP.

Abstract: Systems and methods of a wireless communications system using signals not traditionally used for positioning purposes for positioning measurements in both uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may generate a UE capability information message indicating one or more signal types that the LE can process for DL positioning measurements and/or that the UE can send for UL positioning measurements. The one or more signal types so indicated may include signals not traditionally used for positioning measurements. The UE may send, to the base station, the UE capability information message. The wireless communications system may then configure the base station and/or the UE to use such signal types with one or more positioning methods. In some embodiments, the base station may also indicate to the UE a subset of signals of an indicated type which should be processed for DL measurements/sent for UL measurements.

Abstract: Provided is a method for a user equipment (UE). The UE obtains a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) switching command from a network device and switches, based on the DRX switching command, from a current first Connected Mode DRX (cDRX) configuration to a different second cDRX configuration. Each of the first cDRX configuration and the second cDRX configuration is a configuration selected from a group consisting of: a default cDRX configuration; and at least one non-default cDRX configuration. Each non-default cDRX configuration of the at least one non-default cDRX configuration comprises a cDRX periodicity and a cDRX offset corresponding to a periodicity and an offset of a Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS) or Configured Grant (CG) configuration, respectively.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for group based Layer 1 Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (L1-SINR) measurement and report. The system according to the present disclosure includes at least a network device and a wireless device. A network device (such as a gNB) including at least a first Transmission and Reception Point (TRP) and a second TRP may generate a message used for a wireless device (such as a user equipment (UE)) to perform L1-SINR measurement, wherein the L1-SINR measurement is related to inter-beam interference for beams associated with the first TRP and the second TRP. The message may at least include: (1) a first channel measurement resource (CMR) set including multiple CMRs for the first TRP, and a first interference measurement resource (IMR) set including multiple IMRs for the first TRP, which is corresponding to the first CMR set; (2) a second CMR set including multiple CMRs for the second TRP, and a second IMR set including multiple IMRs for the second TRP, which is corresponding to the second CMR set; and (3) relation information, indicating the relation between the first CMR set and the second IMR set, and the relation between the second CMR set and the first IMR set. The network device sends the message to the wireless device, such that the wireless device may perform the L1-SINR measurement with respect to multiple CMR pairs at least based on the received message and then send corresponding report of the L1-SINR measurement to the network device.

Abstract: Techniques, described herein, include solutions for managing uplink control information (UCI) transmission for a channel state information (CSI) report resulting from measurements of CSI measurement resources. In response to the CSI report exceeding allocated uplink resources of a UCI transmission, a compressed CSI report can be generated by performing an uplink control information (UCI) omission to omit parameters of the CSI report based on components comprising frequency domain (FD) components and time domain (TD) components of the MIMO codebook configuration. The UCI transmission can be generated with the compressed CSI report.
