    摘要: In a BWA communication system, an MSS changes its connection from the serving BS to the target BS, and sends the target BS a report indicating that the MSS will change its connection upon detecting occurrence of a pingpong effect in a process of performing a network re-entry operation with the target BS. The target BS sends the serving BS a notification indicating that the MSS will change its connection. Upon receiving from the MSS a report indicating that it will change its connection to the serving BS, the serving BS allocates a contention-free-based ranging resource to the MSS so that the MSS connects a communication service with the serving BS using the contention-free-based ranging resource, minimizing a service delay.

    摘要: A system and method for dynamically allocating a frame cell (FC) and subchannel (FC/subchannel) is disclosed. An access point receives channel quality information (CQIs) which is fed back from a plurality of access terminals on an FC-by-FC basis, and determines a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to be applied to each of the access terminals. If access terminals whose FCs/subchannels must be changed are detected from the plurality of the access terminals, the access point sends an FC/subchannel change request for the detected access terminals to an access router. The access router generates weights for all FCs, allocates an FC/subchannel set by selecting a predetermined number of FCs/subchannels considering the weights of the FCs for the access terminals corresponding to the received FC/subchannel change request, and transmits information on the allocated FC/subchannel set to the access point. The access point selects and allocates a particular FC/subchannel from among FCs/subchannels in the FC/subchannel set information received from the access router for the access terminals whose FCs/subchannels must be changed, based on CQIs last received from the access terminals whose FCs/subchannels must be changed.

    摘要: A Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) channel management in a broadband wireless communication system is provided. Operations of a base station include determining a CQI channel operation mode for a CQI channel of a terminal which enters a sleep mode; transmitting at least one message which instructs to enter the sleep mode and includes information indicating the CQI channel operation mode; and managing the CQI channel of the terminal according to the CQI channel operation mode while the terminal operates in the sleep mode. Candidates of the CQI channel operation mode include at least one of a first mode which deallocates the CQI channel in the sleep mode entry, a second mode which maintains the CQI channel in the sleep mode and forbids CQI channel allocation to other terminal during a sleep window, a third mode which deallocates the CQI channel in the sleep window entry without signaling, and a fourth mode which maintains the CQI channel in the sleep mode and allows the CQI channel allocation to other terminal during the sleep window.

    摘要: An apparatus for an idle mode terminal is configured to perform a method for operating the idle mode terminal in a Machine to Machine (M2M) communication system. A paging message is received from the base station during a paging listening interval. The Apparatus determines whether an indicator indicating receipt of multicast group data is included in the paging message. When the indicator indicating the receiving of multicast group data is included, data transmitted via a downlink resource that uses an identifier mask of a multicast group to which a terminal belongs is received. Thereafter, a paging non-listening interval is entered.
