Abstract:
Compounds comprising phosphorescent metal complexes comprising cyclometallated imidazo[1,2-f]phenanthridine and diimidazo[1,2-a:1′,2′-c]quinazoline ligands, or isoelectronic or benzannulated analogs thereof, are described. Organic light emitting devices comprising these compounds are also described.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for preparing a thin film having alternating monolayers of a metal-metal bonded complex monolayer and an organic monolayer by layer-by-layer growth. The process comprises the steps of: (1) applying onto a surface of a substrate a first linker compound to produce a primer layer; (2) applying onto said primer layer a layer of a metal-metal bonded complex to produce a metal-metal bonded complex monolayer on said primer layer; (3) applying onto said metal-metal bonded complex monolayer a second linker compound; and optionally (4) sequentially repeating steps (2) and (3) at least once to produce said layer-by-layer grown thin film having alternating monolayers of a metal-metal bonded complex monolayer and an organic monolayer.
Abstract:
A new class of dibenzothiophene and/or dibenzofuran-containing compounds are provided. The new compounds may be useful in organic light emitting devices, particularly as the host of an emissive layer having a host and an emissive dopant, or as a material in an enhancement layer.

Methods and apparatus to indicate a position of a valve are described. An example position indicator apparatus includes a follower operatively coupled to a flow control member of a valve to sense a displacement of the flow control member. The example apparatus further includes a status indicator to provide an indication that corresponds to the displacement of the flow control member to determine one of a plurality of predetermined operational positions of the valve and a visual display to cooperate with the position indicator to indicate a position of the valve corresponding to one of the plurality of predetermined operational positions of the valve.

An organic light emitting device, comprising: an anode; a hole transport layer; an organic emissive layer comprising an emissive layer host and an emissive dopant; an electron impeding layer; an electron transport layer; and a cathode disposed, in that order, over a substrate.
Abstract:
A time-to-digital conversion apparatus reduces the pulse width of a signal to be tested by introducing the signal through a plurality of shrinking cells cascaded until the reduced pulse width cannot drive the next shrinking cell, to generate a group of digital output codes representative of a binary code. The apparatus operates with a clock signal and comprises a shrinking cell group converting the signal to be tested to a plurality of first digital output codes, and a latch cell group receiving the first digital output codes and generating a plurality of second digital output codes which can be converted to a binary code. The time-to-digital conversion apparatus could be utilized in a jitter-measuring apparatus, which converts the jitter of a signal of analog form to a group of digital codes. The digital codes represent a time width of cycle-to-cycle jitter of the signal.

The present invention discloses a portable blackbody furnace comprising a metallic body, a cylindrical cavity with a tapered end in the metallic body, a shielding plate positioned at an open end of the cylindrical cavity, at least a first heaters positioned in the shielding plate, a plurality of second heaters positioned around the metallic body, and a plurality of thermometers positioned in the metallic body. Preferably, the heat capacity of the metallic body is larger than 200 Joules/K, and has radial thickness larger than 5 mm. There are grooves formed on the outer wall of the metallic body, and the second heaters are heating wires embedded inside the grooves. In addition, the flow direction of the current between two adjacent heating wires is opposite to eliminate the magnetic field generated from the current flow.
