    摘要: Minimally invasive deployable epicardial array devices are provided. The devices include deployable platform comprising two or more effectors, such as sensors and actuators, where the devices are configured to be deployed at an epicardial location via a minimally invasive, e.g., sub-xiphoid approach. In embodiments of the present invention, at least one area of the electrode patch is an electrical control area that comprises a series of effectors, e.g., sensors and/or electrodes. Other embodiments provide localized physical constraint and dynamic mechanical stimulation of the heart to effectuate physical and biological responses. Still other embodiments provide both of these functions. Also provided are methods of using the devices, as well as systems and kits that include the devices.

    摘要: A flexible heat resistant mat for use with a heated hair styling device, the mat being made of a fibrous material of which the fibres are capable of withstanding a temperature in excess of 225° C., wherein air spaces between the fibres give the material a sufficiently low thermal conductivity to permit a styling device having a temperature in excess of 200° C. to be supported on the mat for more than at least 10 minutes while resting on a surface capable of withstanding a temperature of about 70° C. without damage to the surfaces.

    摘要: Provided is a method for characterising a polypeptide or a population of polypeptides, which method comprises the steps of: (a) optionally reducing disulphide linkages in the polypeptides, if they are present and capping free thiols in the polypeptides, if they are present; (b) contacting a sample comprising one or more polypeptides with a cleavage reagent which cleaves one or more polypeptides on the C-terminal side of a lysine residue to produce peptide fragments; (c) optionally deactivating the cleavage reagent; (d) contacting the sample with a lysine reactive agent to cap ε-amino groups; (e) removing those peptides having capped ε-amino groups; and (f) recovering the C-terminal peptides.
