摘要: In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, a pump assembly for circulating a supercritical fluid is disclosed. The pump assembly comprises an impeller for pumping fluid between a pump inlet and a pump outlet; a rotating pump shaft coupled to the impeller, wherein the pump shaft is supported by corrosion resistant bearings; a rotor of a DC motor potted in epoxy and encased in a non-magnetic material sleeve; and a stator sealed from the fluid via a polymer sleeve. The pump can be of centrifugal type. The bearings can be made of silicon nitride balls combined with bearing races made of Cronidur® and can operate without oil or grease lubrication. The polymer sleeve can be a PEEK™ sleeve which forms a casing for the stator. The non-magnetic material sleeve encasing the rotor of the DC motor is preferably made of stainless steel. A portion of the fluid passing through the pump assembly can be diverted over the bearings and/or the rotor and stator.

摘要: The present invention a system and method are provided for performing an inter-frequency search with reduced loss of link frames in a CDMA system. The CDMA system includes a base station (20) and a mobile station (50). The mobile station (50) has a searcher (164), which searches for pilot channels. The signal strengths of these pilot channels are then reported to the base station (20). This searching results in erased portions of a data frame (238). After the signal strengths are reported to the base station (20), the mobile station (50) informs the base station (20) of the parameters related to the search. These parameters may include the frame of the search, the start position of the search, and the length of the search. The mobile station (50) and the base station (20) then replaces the erased portions of the frame with corrective data such as soft zeros.

摘要: This patent describes economical and environment-friendly processes for the synthesis of anionic clays. It involves reacting a slurry comprising boehmite, which has been peptized with acid with a divalent metal source followed by addition of source of base. The slurry is then hydrothermally aged. There is no necessity to wash or filter the product and it can be spray dried directly to form microspheres, or can be extruded to form shaped bodies. The product can be combined with other ingredients in the manufacture of catalysts, absorbents, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, detergents, polymeric nanocomposites and other commodity products that contain anionic clays.

摘要: This invention relates to a process for the preparation of anionic clay and boehmite-containing compositions. These compositions may also contain unreacted trivalent metal source and/or divalent metal source. The process involves subjecting a precursor mixture comprising a divalent metal source and a trivalent metal source to at least two aging steps, wherein at least once between two aging steps an aluminum source is added. An advantage of the invention is that the crystallinity of the boehmite in the composition can be tuned.
