Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to a flexible connectivity framework. A first device may send a trigger frame to a second device. The first device may then receive an uplink bandwidth resource request from the second device. The first device may detect a high efficiency-long training field (HE-LTF) in the uplink bandwidth resource request. The first device may send an uplink multiuser trigger frame, and the first device may receive an uplink frame from the second device.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to an OFDMA uplink resource allocation framework. An access point may determine a first trigger frame including one or more resource block identifications (RBIDs) associated with one or more resource units on a communication channel. The access point may assign at least one of the one or more RBIDs to at least one device of one or more devices. The access point may cause to send the first trigger frame to the least one device The access point may identify a resource request frame including at least in part a resource request indication associated with the at least one of the one or more RBIDs. The access point may assign one of the one or more resource units based at least in part on the resource request indication.

Abstract: Apparatuses, computer readable media, and methods for indicating a resource allocation are disclosed. An apparatus of a high-efficiency wireless local area network (HEW) master station is disclosed. The HEW master station includes circuitry configured to generate a resource allocation for HEW stations, where the resource allocation includes a group identification and an index into a table. The circuitry is further configured to transmit the resource allocation to the HEW stations. The table may be a permutation table that indicates a sub-channel of a bandwidth for each of the HEW stations. The HEW master station may be configured to operate in accordance with orthogonal frequency division multi-access (OFDMA). The resource allocation may be part of a trigger frame that includes a duration for an uplink or downlink transmission opportunity, and the circuitry may be further configured to transmit data to the HEW stations in accordance with the resource allocation.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for trigger frames for sounding in a wireless network. An apparatus of a wireless device is disclosed, which includes processing circuitry configured to: encode a null data packet (NDP) announcement (NDP-A) including an indication of stations, configure the wireless device to transmit the NDP-A, and encode a high-efficiency (HE) NDP. The processing circuitry may be further configured to configure the wireless device to transmit the HE-NDP and encode a trigger frame (TF) including feedback parameters for the stations and a resource allocation for each of the stations to transmit a feedback report to the wireless device. The feedback report is based on the feedback parameters and the HE-NDP. The processing circuitry may be further configured to configure the wireless device to transmit the trigger frame, and decode the feedback reports from the stations in accordance with the corresponding resource allocation and the feedback parameters.

Abstract: Techniques for group-based spatial stream assignment signaling in 60 GHz wireless networks are described. According to various such techniques, a 60 GHz-capable transmitting device may be configured to define one or more DL MU-MIMO groups, each of which may comprise one or more respective 60 GHz-capable receiving devices. In various embodiments, the 60 GHz-capable transmitting device may include a DL MU-MIMO group ID within DL MU-MIMO control information in a PHY header of a PPDU in order to indicate that the PPDU is directed to a DL MU-MIMO group corresponding to that DL MU-MIMO group ID. In some embodiments, DL MU-MIMO control information may comprise information specifying spatial stream assignments for the 60 GHz-capable receiving devices of that DL MU-MIMO group. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Signaling techniques to support DL MU-MIMO in 60 GHz wireless networks are described. According to various such techniques, a transmitting 60 GHz-capable device may be configured to include DL MU-MIMO control information in a PHY header of a PPDU that comprises respective data for multiple receiving devices. In some embodiments, the DL MU-MIMO control information may include information identifying each such receiving device. In various embodiments, the DL MU-MIMO control information may include information specifying—for each such receiving device—one or more respective spatial streams that are assigned to that receiving device. Abstract: Example systems, methods, and devices for channel access in dense wireless networks are discussed. More specifically, methods may include transmitting one or more trigger frames from an access point to one or more communication stations, the one or more trigger frames comprising a plurality of components, the plurality of components indicating whether trigger frames within a beacon interval are scheduled in a periodic or aperiodic manner, and if periodic trigger frames are scheduled, then indicating a countdown to the next trigger frame, and if aperiodic trigger frames are scheduled, then indicating the time to the next trigger frame scheduled by the access point. Methods, apparatus, and systems described herein can be applied to 802.11ax or any other wireless standard.
