Abstract:
A method and apparatus for vacuum forming a wheel from a urethane material that includes a mold having a wheel shaped cavity therein that can be empty, or can contain a wheel core. The mold receives a cover fitted in sealing engagement over the mold top and a cylindrical canister is fitted through the center of which cover and the mold center, which canister is open at a top end to receive a pour of mixed urethane material passed therein and which canister includes a needle valve located in its lower end that exhausts into one end of the mold cavity. The cylindrical canister includes a port for connection to a deep vacuum source and the dome shaped cover includes a port that is for connection to a low level vacuum source, with the deep vacuum to remove air from the urethane material as it is being poured into the canister, and with, after filling, the canister port is open to atmosphere and the needle valve is opened to exhaust the mixture into the mold cavity wherethrough it is pulled by the low level vacuum pulled through the cover port, filling the mold cavity, forming the urethane wheel.
Abstract:
This invention uses two small parts to make an easily assembled clothes hanger add-on attachment to be used in conjunction with wire shelves so as to allow uninterupted slidability of clothes hangers while retaining strength durability, low cost and ease of manufacture. The add-on hook and rod assembly is usable for both wide web and narrow web wire shelving. No fasteners are required. The existing hung garments do not have to be removed to install this system. Individual garments may be transferred after a completion.
Abstract:
A variety of tools and techniques are disclosed for managing, viewing, publishing, searching, clustering, and otherwise manipulating data streams. Data streams such as RSS data feeds may be searched, aggregated, and filtered into a processed feed. The processed feed, along with rules used to process the feed may be shared in a number of ways. A data feed management system may provide an integrated user interface through which a user may manage feeds, including searching for new feeds, managing and filtering current feeds, modifying a user profile, and sharing feeds and feed configuration data with other users. A server may provide a complementary search engine to locate new feeds and to store and/or index items or posts in known feeds. Together, these technologies may provide a richly-functioned feed management system and greater ease of use for individuals in managing large numbers of feeds and large amounts of data in feeds. Additional functional layers may provide for authentication, security, and privacy, metadata creation and management, and social networking features. Using the management tools and additional functionality, a syndicated data stream system may provide a platform for a wide array of useful consumer and business applications.
Abstract:
A vacuum forming apparatus and process for its use in forming a transport tire from an elastomeric material that includes a mold having a cavity or annular area wherein a transport tire core of plies, belt and beads is laid-up on a mandrel located within the mold. The mold receives a cover fitted in sealing engagement over the mold top and a cylindrical canister is fitted through the center of which cover and the mold center that is open at a top end to receive a pour of an elastomeric material mixture and includes a needle valve in its lower end that exhausts into one end of the mold annular area. The cylindrical canister includes a port for connection to a deep vacuum source and the cover includes a port that is for connection to a low level vacuum source, with the deep vacuum to remove air from the elastomeric material mixture as it is poured into the canister, and with, after filling, the port is open to atmosphere and the needle valve is opened to exhaust the mixture into the mold annular chamber wherethrough it is pulled by the low level vacuum through the cover port, filling the mold annular cavity and thoroughly impregnating the core maintained therein.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for corrupting a swarm download in a file sharing network provides corrupt data in response to a request for a portion of a file so that when portions received from various sources are assembled, the assembled product cannot be verified and the process must be repeated. To defeat the method, bad sources are identified and disconnected or otherwise ignored, or good sources are identified and given higher priorities. In another method for deterring unauthorized copying of a protected file in a P2P network, a P2P client offering the protected file is choked with agents connecting to it so that its upload capacity is diluted. In another method, false sources for a protected file are injected into a file sharing network so as to dilute the legitimate sources, making them more difficult to find.
Abstract:
An interdiction system includes software agents masquerading as nodes in a decentralized network, a query matcher that receives search results captured by the software agents and reports matches with protected files back to the software agents, and a central coordinating authority that coordinates activities of the software agents by sending instructions to the software agents specifying actions to be taken. Possible activities and related interdicting methods include manipulating search results before forwarding them on in the network, quarantining selected nodes in the network, performing file impersonations such as transferring synthesized decoys, performing file transfer attenuation, and hash spoofing.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to systems and methods for supply chain management. An order for one or more products is received from a buyer or a seller. For each product in the received order, a buyer and a seller are determined. In some instances, multiple buyers and/or sellers may be determined. A product shipment configuration and a logistics plan are generated. A transporter is determined. The generated product shipment configuration is transmitted to a buyer, a seller, a transporter or combinations thereof. The generated logistics plan is transmitted to a buyer, a seller, a transporter or combinations thereof. In some embodiments, event data related to the generated logistics plan is received. In some such embodiment, exception reports are generated from the received event data. These processes, or subsets thereof, can in certain instances be implemented on a system processor in communication with a system data store, or be stored in the form of executable instructions on one or more computer readable media.
Abstract:
A cationic dispersion which includes at least one pigment, water, and at least one quaternary salt of a styrene maleimide imide resin in an amount effective to disperse the organic pigment. A method for preparing the cationic dispersion includes (i) mixing, at 500 to 10,000 rpm, at least one pigment; water; and either (a) at least one a quaternary salt of a styrene maleimide imide resin or (b) at least one styrene maleimide imide resin in combination with at least one weak acid, thereby forming a dispersion premix; (ii) milling the dispersion premix in a mixer filled with ceramic, metal or glass beads for a period of time sufficient to reduce pigment agglomerates to primary particles, thereby forming a non-standardized dispersion; and (iii) standardizing the dispersion against a color standard by adding water. The resulting cationic dispersion exhibits good alkali resistance and lightfastness, and can be used to integrally color concrete and other building materials.
Abstract:
A digital multiline beamformer is provided which produces multiple receive beams in response to a single transmit event. An embodiment of the present invention includes a bulk delay which provides a common steering delay applicable to all of the beams received at one time. The bulk delay is succeeded by parallel filter processing paths which produce finely focused multiple beams simultaneously. In one embodiment a multiphase filter produces the samples for multiple beams, which is advantageous when the number of simultaneously produced beams is greater than the number of phases produced by the fine focus filter.
