摘要: The present invention discloses an anti-blue light anti-infrared resin lens having a refractivity of 1.50, and a preparation method thereof. The lens comprises 100 parts by weight of CR39 resin monomer, 0.5-5 parts by weight of an initiator, and 1.0216-30.6 parts by weight of an additive, where the additive includes an anti-infrared absorber, a blue light absorber, and a hardness modifier at a weight ratio of 0.0005-0.5:0.001-10:1-10, the initiator is benzoyl peroxide, dicumyl peroxide, or 1,1-di-tert-butylperoxy-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane. The resin lens prepared in the present invention has both blue light absorption effect and near-infrared absorption effect and is capable of being dyed as needed to have the effect of sunglasses, while the quality of the lens is guaranteed. The resin lens is a new type of multifunctional resin lens.

摘要: Methods of forming dental appliances. The methods may include partially curing a prepolymer mixture in a first mold to form a partially cured polymer mixture. The first mold may have an internal cavity that is shaped to provide the partially cured polymer mixture with a first shape having a channel in accordance with a dental arch. The first shape may have a greater thickness at locations corresponding to where a gingival line of the dental appliance will be formed compared to a thickness at occlusal surfaces of the dental appliance. The methods may include modifying the first shape of the partially cured polymer mixture to form a shell having cavities shaped to receive teeth. The methods may also include fully curing the shell by exposing the partially cured polymer mixture to energy until the partially cured polymer mixture thermosets.

摘要: A novel cutting-edge structure and method and apparatus for manufacturing the cutting-edge structure is provided. The cutting-edge structure is comprised of naturally derived or renewable material at greater than 50% by volume fraction. In one embodiment, the naturally derived material is a cellulose nanostructure such as a cellulose nanocrystal. The cellulose nanocrystal is processed using a base or mold structure to provide a cutting edge of any shape such as linear or circular edge structures. The process includes dual cure steps to produce an optimal cutting-edge structure without shrinkage. The formed cutting-edge structure can be utilized as a razor blade as it is formed with very sharp tip and edge suitable for cutting hair. The base structure can form one or more cutting-edge structures simultaneously.

摘要: A method for micro-molding a polymeric membrane and including pouring a predetermined volume of curable polymer unto a micro-fabricated mold having a post array with pillars, and overlaying the polymer with a support substrate. A spacer, such as a rubber spacer, is placed in contact with the support substrate and a force is applied to an exposed side of the spacer to compress the support substrate and the polymer together. While applying the force, the polymer is cured on the mold for a predetermined time period and at a predetermined temperature to form a polymeric membrane having a pore array with a plurality of pores corresponding to the plurality of pillars of the post array. The polymeric membrane is removed from the support substrate.
