摘要: A magnet structure produces a field within a magnet gap. The field is provided at least in part by a pair of permanent magnets that are fixed in place by a frame. The frame fixes a magnet assembly that is adapted to hold the magnetic material composing the permanent magnets, such that the quantity of the magnetic material can be adjusted to suit the particular application. The magnetic material can be provided in the form of discrete magnetic elements, such as magnetic “bricks”. The frame also functions as the flux collector and return. Accordingly, the general geometry of the magnet structure is fixed, and the amount of magnetic material, and therefore the magnetic field strength, is adjustable.

摘要: Cardiac synchrony information is provided for medical imaging. Multidimensional motion is determined, such as by tracking tissue locations of the heart through a sequence of images. An approximate orientation of the heart is identified. The identification may be automatic or performed by a processor. A component of the multidimensional motion relative to the orientation of the heart is extracted and used to generate a display. By separating out longitudinal, radial and/or circumferential motion relative to the heart, synchrony or asynchrony may be detected more easily.

摘要: An apparatus for adjustably securing a boat accessory to a boat. A first member has a plug and a second member has a socket. The plug has a rosette shape with rounded protrusions and the socket has a corresponding mating shape. Both the plug and the socket have openings for a fastener to secure the plug in the socket. The first member is one of a mounting base and an accessory base, and the second member is the other one. In one embodiment, an extension is positioned adjacent the plug so as to separate the first and second members. In another embodiment, the extension has a plug on each end and the first and second members have sockets. In another such embodiment, the extension has two members joined with a rosette-shaped plug and socket.

摘要: A wide field of view heterodyne receiver is provided for enhancing mixing efficiency of a returned signal with a local oscillator signal to generate a heterodyned signal. The returned signal defines a first wave front, and the local oscillator signal defines a second wave front. The receiver includes an optics system, a local oscillator, and a focal plane array. The optics system is operative to transmit the returned signal along an optical path and to focus the returned signal onto a focal plane. The local oscillator is operative to provide the local oscillator signal being directable toward the focal plane. The focal plane array is disposed coincident with the focal plane and is operative to receive the focused returned signal and the local oscillator signal. Upon reaching the focal plane array, the first wave front and the second wave front are planar and oriented substantially parallel relative each other.

摘要: A physical 3D volume object is manipulated to navigate through a volume image. The orientation of the volume object, such as a cube or other shaped device, is sensed. As the volume object is rotated, the viewing direction associated with three dimensional rendering rotates. The volume object may represent a viewer's eye or the object for determining the viewing direction from the volume object orientation. The volume object may be untethered and/or generally flat, allowing ease of use. The volume object may be associated with a shape of an organ or tissue to provide further frame of reference.

摘要: Motion of a region of interest is tracked in medical imaging. For example, velocity information, such as colored Doppler velocity estimates independent of tracking from one image to another image, are used to indicate an amount of motion between the images. The velocity assisted tracking may be used for one dimensional tracking (e.g., for M-mode images), for tracking in two dimensional images, or for tracking between three dimensional representations. As an alternative or additional example, physiological signal information is used to assist in the tracking determination. A physiological signal may be used to model the likely movement of an organ being imaged to control or adjust matching search patterns and limits. The modeling may also be used to independently determine movement or for tracking. The independently determined tracking is then combined with tracking based on medical data or other techniques. The cost function or other metric for determining the sufficiency or a match may include information modeled from or selected as a function of the physiological cycle signal in addition to other matching calculations. The fusion of physiological signal information with image data tracking may improve the tracking.
