摘要: The present invention includes compositions and methods for preparing micron-sized or submicron-sized particles by dissolving a water soluble effective ingredient in one or more solvents; spraying or dripping droplets solvent such that the effective ingredient is exposed to a vapor-liquid interface of less than 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 200, 400 or 500 cm−1 area/volume to, e.g., increase protein stability; and contacting the droplet with a freezing surface that has a temperature differential of at least 30° C. between the droplet and the surface, wherein the surface freezes the droplet into a thin film with a thickness of less than 500 micrometers and a surface area to volume between 25 to 500 cm−1.

摘要: This disclosure relates to macro- and micro-sized elastin-like polymers (ELP). The addition of a polyethyleneimine (PEI) block to the terminal end of ELP allows the particle radius as well as LCST to be controlled by changing any combination of polymer concentration, ion concentration, and pH. The addition of the PEI block also provides the ability to crosslink the copolymers and achieve a stable particle radius.

摘要: The instant disclosure is directed to a vaginal care composition that restores pH balance, and thereby reduces vaginal dryness, irritation, dyspareunia, post-coital bleeding, infections, vaginal and pelvic pain and increases vaginal lubrication. In some embodiments, the vaginal care composition comprises stem cell-derived exosomes (e.g., mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived exosomes), an antioxidant and a pH buffer. Another aspect of the disclosure is directed to methods for improving vaginal health by administering the vaginal care composition of the instant disclosure.

摘要: Provided are pharmaceutical compositions and methods for preparing pharmaceutical compositions using solventless mixing methods. Excess coating material that is not bound to a coated API particle may be removed by a sieving process. Coating and dosing ratios can also be optimized to minimize the amount of excess unbound coating material. Specifically, a coating ratio and/or a dosing ratio can be used to minimize the residual amount of excess unbound coating material to minimize agglomeration of coating material during storage. In some embodiments, a pharmaceutical composition is provided, the pharmaceutical composition comprising: 65-85% w/w API particles; 15-30% w/w coating material coating the API particles; and 3-15% w/w matrix surrounding the coated API particles, wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises a disintegration time rate of less than 10 seconds for at least six months under storage conditions of at least 25° C. and at least 60% relative humidity.

摘要: A composition comprises a water-soluble polymer matrix in which are dispersed droplets of oil, the composition comprising an active principle. The invention includes embodiments in which the active principle is included in at least some of the oil droplets as well as embodiments in which the oil droplets are released as the matrix containing them dissolves in an aqueous medium. In one embodiment, the oil droplets are substantially immobilized in or by the matrix and the immobilizing feature is lost as the matrix dissolves in aqueous media. In certain embodiments, the oil drops may collectively be referred to as the oil phase of the composition of the invention. The product may be in the form of mini-beads. The oil phase and/or the polymer matrix may each include a surfactant.
