摘要: The present invention concerns configuration of a new category of integrated circuitry for adaptive computing. The various embodiments provide an executable information module for an adaptive computing engine (ACE) integrated circuit and may include configuration information, operand data, and may also include routing and power control information. The ACE IC comprises a plurality of heterogeneous computational elements coupled to an interconnection network. The plurality of heterogeneous computational elements include corresponding computational elements having fixed and differing architectures, such as fixed architectures for different functions such as memory, addition, multiplication, complex multiplication, subtraction, configuration, reconfiguration, control, input, output, and field programmability. In response to configuration information, the interconnection network is operative to configure the plurality of heterogeneous computational elements for a plurality of different functional modes.

摘要: A cellular base station (10) in a digital cellular system employs transmitting circuitry in which voice signals (15) are processed at a low frequency level (12) into two separate paths. A first of the low frequency signals is variably delayed (20), and the first and the other low frequency signals are upconverted to radio frequency level (16,22) for transmission over independent time-spaced transmission paths (26,28) to cellular receivers. A receiver downconverts and demodulates the radio frequency diversity signals, and then combines the demodulated diversity signals to generate an equalized combination diversity signal for receiver output processing.

摘要: A digital cellular system (10) employs a decoder that decodes control messages encoded by a convolutional tail-biting encoding procedure. The control messages (57) contain 65 bits that are encoded in a 260 bit data frame (59). The decoder reads (112) the first x quadruple bits and writes them also at the end of the data frame bit stream. A Viterbi decoding algorithm (114) is applied to the modified bit stream for x plus 65 steps. A bit stream of (65+x) bits is selected (116) from a best value path and y first bits are discarded from the selected stream. The output decoded message (118) includes bits (y+1) through (y+65).
